The hotel was not 4star, or at least our room wasn't. Very dated, tired and grubby bathroom with very cramped fittings, and a bath/shower that had mouldy sealant, and badly repaired hole in the actual bath.
On a noisy road so couldn't have the windows open, and also quite an expensive meal that was actually not at all good! I would not stay here again. However, Rome was fabulous!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. It was an excellent choice. We had requested a room with a view and sure got one. It was also a corner room. I spent at least 20 minutes each day just admiring the scenery from our window. It was of the Basilica of Santa Maria Magiore. The room was well decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. The included breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was also very good. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Rome.

Room Tip: Rooms on floor 5A (top floor) seem to have the best views.

We stayed just for two nights but what a great stay. The hotel organised a taxi collection from the airport, and then back again at the end of our stay. We had a lovely room overlooking the square, which was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Once the windows were closed the bustle of the city simply disappeared and the room was exceptionall quiet at night. The staff were incredibly welcoming, seemed very relaxed, yet were alwas helpful and efficient. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and other sites, and just a short walk from the metro, to visit the Vatican. Very impressed and would definitely revist and recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: The best views overlook the square. Ask !

Our friends and I have been to the rooftop patio before. Beautiful views.
Unfortunately this time we got stuck in the elevator between floors. My friends wife was very uncomfortable and they had it working in 8 mins. When we went thru the lobby we were very understanding and said that it happens and we waited to try again to reach the rooftop. As we waited I joked with the front desk attendant, Antonio, to treat the ladies to a glass of wine for the situation. He was immediately very rude. It really threw us. He was aggressively rude. Saying we weren't guests so he didn't care and , bah, it was only a minute in the elevator. Yes it wasn't long. Yes we were only guests of the lounge but you can say no in a friendly way without being confrontational. We got upstairs and just turned around. We had a very sour taste left from this kind of treatment. We will not be giving our business to them any longer and definitely will not recommend them to any of our friends who travel to Rome frequently.
