“Really made our holiday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2012

After starting our holiday off badly at a different hotel we arrived here early afternoon and wasamazed at the difference. This 4 star hotel is within a five minute walk of piazza barbarini which is ideal for many of the tours offered around rome as well as being close to several lovely restaurants, shops and a beautiful fountain. The reception was manned by a lovely gentleman called Giannini who was incredably helpful throughout our stay and was very accommadating of our last minute booking. He was very explainatory when it came for asking directions, showing us and highlighting areas on a map for us. The room itself was somewhat gordy but to be honest it worked, with a large gold, ornate mirror, gold furnishings on the bed, the curtains and the wardrobe, everything worked, it was clean and tidy and a maid service that came everyday. The room also had a jaccuzzi bath which was the icing on the cake for the romantic few days away my partner had planned.

The only negative thing i could say is that they do not offer a hot breakfast however what they do have is very pleasant.

I would highly recommend this hotel and its staff to anyone wanting to visit rome

2nd time here but never again. Used hotel website and booked a deluxe triple for 3 adults. Hotel website then asks to select bed preferences within that configuration - some of which included queen plus sofa or queen x2. We selected queen x2. Arriving at hotel we were told that does not exist. The room provided was cramped with a queen bed and a lounge/sofa with an oversized mattress (hanging out wider than the support of the narrow sofa lounge.) Definitely nothing like our expectations, let alone what we booked on their own website. Told nothing could be done. This is the last in a sequence of Hotels throughout 7 locations in Europe. It is by far the least desirable. I am not normally critical - but in this instance our 2 star in Florence was 10 star compared to this. If you can't trust their own website, can you trust the hotel? Staff full of excuses but no solutions. (saying it was a problem with the Internet ... I corrected them and said, no their website - dishonest)

Dear Guest,
thank you very much for writing your review. We really care of customer's opinion and suggestions.
Concerning the problem with the room, we inform you that through our website you have the possibility to request a "bedding preference". This has to be considered as a request upon availablity, the hotel is not confirming the bedding solution required because it has to be checked first with the room's availaibility. In your reservation the room with 2 double beds wasn't availble during your stay.
We inform you that soon we will update our website, this will be easyer to use and will contain more information about our rooms.
We always suggest to get in touch with the hotel before or arrival, in order to reconfirm the reservation and to inform the hotel of any special request or need.
Kindest regards.
Benedetta Cavallini

The hotel is lovely, close to the train station, Spanish steps and the sites are within walking distance. The room was classic style that I enjoyed, top quality marble and stone. Very clean, updated, with a super shower and very comfortable bed. The staff was very helpful with all my questions, directions, etc.... They had a computer and printer to use which was so helpful. Only down side was that the internet was not free but it was just 5 euro per hour and you could use the printer too...so I was happy to pay a small fee. I will stay here again and recommend to friends.

We have just returned from another trip to Rome (our 7th!), we love the city and we know it well. We have stayed in various hotels - but we were happy to return to it. Our choices are made very much by price and also by using these reviews, so we're aware of the importance of being honest and impartial. This hotel was excellent value for money. The service afforded by all staff in this hotel, was by far of a level one would expect from a hotel costing far more, yet it was so personal and in no way was it contrived. We had booked a standard double, but on checking in we were surprised to be offerred a free upgrade to a superior room, situated in a new area of the building. This is an annex, and, although we thought it a bit odd, initially, that we had to go out of the main hotel and two doors down, this feeling left us immediately, when we were taken into a beautiful bright room, spotlessly clean, and although overlooking the road called Via Boncompagni - which is the fairly busy road leading onto the Via Veneto, you could barely hear a thing - being quite high up, but also due to the quality of the window glass. Breakfast was taken in the main hotel on the 7th floor in a roof terrace conservatory - affording amazing views over the city - even as far as the Vatican on the clearer day. A substantial spread was offerred the usual continental style - fresh rolls, meats, cheese, jams, cake, etc, and there were endless fresh cappucino's and espressos made to order. Having made our own way to the hotel by train and taxi from the airport, we discovered that it would have been cheaper to let the hotel organise our transfer. The gentleman on the desk (Gianni) ordered us a taxi which arrived ten minutes later and was sure to remind us to check the fixed price before travelling and also ensured we knew the name of the firm providing the taxi, thus ensuring that his clients were correctly taken care of. It's little things like this that stay in your mind. We will definately use this hotel again, next year when we make our annual trip. Thank you to all the staff who made it so comfortable and pleasant.

Small room but every day was cleaned . Near to the center . In a few distance by foot to see many of the the sightseeings of Rome . The price of the room should be little cheaper .
