Great location, terrace & staff

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 29 Aug 2016
Staff - Service matters just as much as the room in some cases. When we booked a room for three, we thought there'd be a single bed in the room in addition to a double/full. When we mentioned that, they jumped on it and fixed it within 15 minutes. They were very apologetic. Throughout the weekend, they were so helpful. When we were trying to figure out our trip from Roma to Civitavecchia, both gentlemen at the desk worked on it. They suggested a great tour that was so worth it to the Colisseum & Forum. There was confusion about the cash vs. credit on the tour, but we alerted them to that so hopefully they'll clarify. It was fine. Everyone was multi-lingual.

Room - Good size for 3 of us, very modern bathroom. Comfy bed with beautiful upholstery. Note - our room facing the via del Biscione was very dark with the shutters closed. It can be noisy, but we opened our shutters, closed the window & drew the shade at night. I find the sun helps me with jet lag adjustment.

Breakfast - Only so-so part - I waited both mornings for my coffee/tea for a bit. Very heavy on sweet pastries. I was hoping for some fruit. I realize Italian breakfasts aren't like American ones so I didn't expect a spread. But great for cheeses & cold meats if that's your thing.

Terrace. Terrace. Terrace!!!! It's about seven storeys up & has three levels. It's a hike up the stairs, but totally worth it. GORGEOUS views. Comfy seats. Only problem is that they don't have a restaurant/bar, but you can buy food & drinks at the little market across from the hotel (take a right out the hotel door). Grab a seat on the terrace and listen to the music in the square, the bells chiming every 15 minutes, the views of St. Peter's & other people's terraces...Simply wonderful.

Obviously the location is wonderful & we did a lot of walking. Ask for tips from the front desk. Just a great stay!

Dear Guest,

I would like to thank you for such a thorough 5-star review, which you have summarized as “just a great stay!”, meaning we have accomplished our aim to transform your stay into a memorable experience and your competence as an expert reviewer adds unquestionably even more value to it. I am also pleased you have fully relied on my empathic, friendly and yet professional staff, sorting out outright any of your requests and you indeed felt fully gratified.

Our rooms differ from each other in terms of their colour and their unique, all valuable, pieces of furniture, although they all maintain the same classy, romantic and baroque style. Moreover, our double glazed sound-proof windows are also provided with external shatters, very common in Italy, to keep the Mediterranean sun out and they can clearly be left open at any given time.

Additionally, our rich buffet breakfast satisfies everybody’s tastes, as it offers a great selection of foods including pies, cookies, juices, yogurts, cheese, milk, fruits, vegetable, bread, jam, honey, ham, salami as well as the Italian espresso and cappuccino.
Adding to all of above our unique and unbeatable location and our roof top terrace with unviable 360° views of the historical centre makes us the perfect choice for a Roman holidays.

All of our readers should check our website since it is the only place where you may have a special offer regarding the rates and this is always the best way to reserve with us, directly. Also, to fully realize the purpose of your visit in Rome, I highly recommend you to rely upon our expert staff in advance, who are specialized in organizing pick-ups from and to the airport, in booking guided tours, so as to avoid the stressful lines at the major sites and museums (Colosseum, Vatican).

I truly hope to welcome you back to our Boutique Hotel.

Traveling tends to magnify all human emotions

Warmest regards,

F. Severino

Dear Guest,
Your succinct, yet very effective review summarizes a “great stay”. This is also thank to our “very friendly” staff and our exceptional “central location”, which enables you to visit and experience Rome even during a short stay as best as possible. Having said that, I was wondering if there is any reason behind your rating of 4 out 5 stars, not being there any negative comments.
Nonetheless, we would like to thank you for having spent time writing your review about our Boutique Hotel. I also take this opportunity to recommend to all the readers to have a look at our website to discover special offers and to contact our staff in advance that will help you in planning your next visit.
It is far easier to travel than to write about it.

This hotel treated us like family and best friends! Great location, great staff! There wasn't anything they couldn't do for us. They even helped us arrange all our day tours with some really great people. They also found some wonderful places to eat during a busy holiday season! They made our Christmas vacation so special!

Dear Guest,
I welcome the fact that not only have you decided to subscribe to TripAdvisor and spread the word around the world on how great your stay was, but also, you did it eight months after staying in our Boutique Hotel, meaning we have clearly left an indelible mark on your vacation. Moreover, your review clearly emphasizes our high quality of service provided by the staff and there is no sign of any slightest uneasiness in your statements, hence I do not comprehend the reason behind your rating of 4 out 5 stars.
I recommend to all the readers to have a look at our website to discover offers about our rooms and to contact our staff in advance, since they are specialist in reserving pick-ups from and to the airport and to book guided tours to the main spots, so as to skip all the long and stressful lines.
On behalf of the whole staff, I would like to thank you for the time spent with us, wishing to welcoming you back in a close future.

We stayed there for 2 nights. The huge positives are the staff specially Adam always ready to help and recommend nice places to eat and visit. Thanks a lot :) . You need to visit the rooftop view is just spectacular views. The location is just perfect it is close to most of famous attraction and you don’t need to take taxi if you would like to walk a little bit. Only one part was a bit disappointing for me – our room was small and very dark. Also design is a special one you can like it or not. We got room with dark blue walls with mirrors golden angels and very small window - for sure not my style. At the same time they stay was positive and maybe we will back if we got different room :)

Room tip: check the design of the rooms and hotel before booking is a bit special - if you prefer open space, modern style & sunny places

Dear Monika,

I am delighted you enjoyed our “perfect location”, our service and our rooftop terrace with its “spectacular views” on the Eternal City.

Our exclusive rooms based in a millenary building, which walls cannot be amplified for bigger spaces, fully respect the European standards in terms of their size. Moreover, they are all of different colours, although all of them are meticulously appointed with unique pieces of antique and valuable furniture that gives them a romantic and baroque touch, which is greatly appreciated by 99% of our guests and it is also one of the reasons why we are chosen among others.

I recommend to all the readers to have a look at our website to discover offers about our rooms and to contact our staff in advance, since they are specialist in reserving pick-ups from and to the airport and to book guided tours to the main spots, so as to skip all the long and stressful lines.

On behalf of the whole staff, especially Adam, I would like to thank you for review, wishing to welcoming you back in a close future.

As a family of four with 2 teenagers we chose to stay in an apartment across the piazza from the main hotel. The 3 star second floor apartment was quite basic with the children sleeping on 2 sofa beds in the combined living room/kitchenette. However the central location, excellent hotel reception staff and the hotel rooftop terrace improves the overall rating. Wifi and the ability just to drop back into the apartment when tired after the various tours made this hotel ideal for our teenagers.

Dear Guest,
I welcome the fact that you enjoyed our service, our location and our rooftop terrace, although I cannot express appreciation for a 4 out of 5 mark as I do not comprehend how this can reflect the service we offer. Our apartments cannot be compared to our rooms as they are different and provided with a fully equipped kitchen. Moreover, most of them have lots of space and are more practical and particularly indicated when travelling with family. Not to mention the building where you were allocated dates back centuries and it has been renovated, while it still preserves its original beauty.
I recommend to all the readers to have a look at our website to discover offers about our rooms and to contact our staff in advance, since they are specialist in reserving pick-ups from and to the airport and to book guided tours to the main spots, so as to skip all the long and stressful lines.

My son and I very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Campo di Fiori. Possibly the warmest, friendliest, most helpful front desk staff at any hotel I've ever visited, and I travel often. Lovely hotel in a convenient location...the liveliness of the market/piazza but the quiet of a side street. My son and I rented the apartment, which is separate from the hotel...loved feeling as if we were citizens of Rome, with own kitchen and living area but with hotel very nearby. Took a picnic up to the roof garden--bellisima. Thought our room would be noisy bc right on the market but insulated window meant we didn't hear a thing. Great value!

Dear Guest,

You caught the real essence of staying in one of our self-catered apartments, which gives you the opportunity of having lots of space to enjoy and the amazing chance of feeling “like citizens of Rome”, having at the same time all the modern comforts one might be wishing for, including a fully equipped kitchen corner, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi connection and much more.

Additionally, you have also remarked our other flagships such as the “warm, friendly and helpful” front desk staff, our “convenient location”, walking distance to all the main attractions, including the Vatican and the Coliseum, along with our outstanding rooftop terrace that offers a 360° view of the entire city and it is open to all of our guests.

Wishing to welcoming you once again, I recommend to all the readers to have a look at our website to discover offers about our rooms and to contact our staff in advance to get full assistance in planning your next visit.

There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.

Warm regards,
