“It has all been been said but no place better in Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2012 via mobile

We had one night before traveling onwards. Beautiful boutique hotel in a fun neighborhood. Great beds, a/c, quiet(which is diffficult in busy neighborhoods). There is a marvelous view from the roof garden. I woke up early and had coffee while watching the morning light touch the roof tops including St. Peters. Who could want more? An extremely helpful staff and an easy walk to many site made our quick stop in Rome memorable.

Dear Guest,
“It has all been said but no place better in Rome”
As you say that all has been said but it is always pleasing to hear it said continuosly meaning that the goals and the standards that we have set for ourselves are continuosly reached with all of our guests! Although you only stayed with us one night, you did catch the essence of our philosophy. To maintain the level of the facilities (Beautiful boutique hotel), (Great beds, a/c, quiet(which is diffficult in busy neighborhoods). Our staff always available to suggest and please all of our guests even the most exuberant (An extremely helpful staff )! As indicated many times in previous reviews our location is unbeatable allowing all to reach within a few moments all the major sites. What a better way to begin your day than with a roof top terrace view of the Eternal City making your stay with us Eternal as well! As you state, ( Who could want more?)Thank you for the kind and reconfirming words and hoping that next time you will be with us for a longer stay.

Best Regards,
F. Severino

We brought two teenagers to Roma, and we all enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Campo de Fiori.
We relaxed in the comfortable rooms after busy days in Roma. Everyone was so helpful and genuinely friendly. Our favorite time was spent every night on the beautiful rooftop garden.
We hated to leave, but we want to return one day. Tom, Mary, Audrey and Tia

Dear Guests,
When one reads a review where two different generations enjoyed their stay with us, this is not worth one but two reviews! Our rooms, elegantly furnished without removing anything from the modern comforts such as free WiFi, A/C, Pay TV etc. etc. makes it a yes that our guests remain more than happy with our facilities (comfortable rooms). Our staff, always there to lend a hand in all that is requested and suggested (Everyone was so helpful and genuinely friendly) .

When you left, you, “We hated to leave”, but we also hated to see you leave!” When you once again decide to return to Rome, it will be our pleasure to host you once again reconfirming your first stay with us. An unforgettable experience.
Kindest regards,
F. Severino

As others have mentioned, the central location of this hotel (within walking distance of most of the major tourist sites) is ideal. I was a bit concerned about being right on the piazza, but noise from the Campo was not at all a problem for us (5 floors up) and it offered lots of restaurant choices and a cute “scene” almost all hours of the day (and night!). If you’d rather go slightly farther afield, it’s just a short walk to the eateries of Piazza Navona (5 min) or across the Ponta Sisto to Trestevere (10-15 min), our choice for cheaper and more authentic eats.

Our room, a Double Deluxe on the 5th floor (of 6), was furnished in a romantic kind of contemporary baroque, with ornate accessories and linens and a very modern bath with fun fixtures. Though the room was a bit small by American standards, there was storage between the large wardrobe, a desk, and cabinetry above the mini-fridge. My only complaints would be that a few times we could hear what sounded like someone walking in stiletto heals in the room above us, that the TV had only 1 English channel, and that when we left the room the AC unit defaulted to a rather cold setting. But as AC is far from being a given in Rome, I’m not complaining! It was easy to open the windows and let a little warm air in (although our view was more of the building next door than Rome skyline.)

Can’t say enough things about the rooftop terrace—every night guests gathered (with drinks and cheeses purchased from neighboring stores) to enjoy the sunset. There was always plenty of seating and the hotel was quick to provide additional wine/wine glasses, bottle openers, cheese knives, etc. as needed. Such a treat!

The front desk staff was very helpful and everyone spoke fluent English, and the lobby (and lobby-level bathroom!) are furnished appropriately. I am glad we used the recommended car service, as getting to the hotel from the airport was cinch. I also found the breakfast to be more than adequate and in particular enjoyed the daily scrambled egg offering, although the one waitress was frequently more interested in clearing tables than bringing us coffee, utensils, or keeping the eggs warm, and most days we were finished eating before we were brought coffee.

Stayed in an apartment with our 2 kids, we were all extremely happy. The staff were great, friendly and helpful - they gave us some excellent dinner recommendations, helpful advice and always had big smiles. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and excellent value, perfect for us. The wonderful central location meant we walked to most of the big attractions, walked to dinner in Trastevere, great shopping nearby and a market on the adjacent plaza. On our last night we sat in the roof top garden, watched the sunset and waved good bye to Rome - beautiful! We can't wait for the chance to return.

Dear Guest,
Coming from the new world (Australia) being use to different size dimensions and appreciating our apartments which are located in buildings dating back to the 1400’s is truly gratifying (we were all extremely happy). We do suggest to all of our guests to select our apartments when traveling in more than 2 people especially when traveling with family this way one may profit from the spaces which our apartments do offer (apartment was spacious, comfortable and excellent value, perfect for us) .
Our staff is always there to give a helping hand when necessary and when not necessary always ready to suggest to make ones stay with us as worry free as possible. We do believe that when our guests are suggested in the best way this is also makes our work more pleasant and happy (staff were great, friendly and helpful, excellent dinner recommendations, helpful advice and always had big smiles).
Our location speaks for itself being a hop skip and jump away from all major sites as well as being located in the shopping area of Rome (wonderful central location, great shopping nearby).
Our roof top terrace is always an extra treat for all of our guests. It allows one to see angles of Rome which are not common to see especially the sunset!
Hope to be able to host you once again in the future,
My warmest regards,
F. Severino

We are a family of two teenage boys and we stayed for 3 nights before our cruise and 2 nights afterwards. The family apartments (located a short walk across the way from the hotel) are comfortable and spacious with a kitchenette. Our boys had their own twin beds and my husband and I had a beautiful (separate) bedroom. If you stay in the apartments, just be prepared to carry your bags up some stairs. The staff was helpful in carrying the biggest bags up for us. The apartment buildings are charming and with that charm, there are no elevators. The location in Campo De Fiori cannot be beat and the rooftop view was magnificent. We walked to everything from this location. To the few places we could not walk, like Ostia Antica, the staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful in explaining the best way to get there. When in Rome again, we will certainly stay at Hotel Campo De Fiori. Thank you to the staff for making our stay in Rome so delightful!! Grazie!

Dear Guest,
“Great Location and Friendly Staff”,
as you have seen we host from 1 person to families of 5 people. It is truly pleasing to read that you appreciated one of our apartments as we always do suggest to our guests if arriving with 4 to five people to always request our apartments. They are all located within a 1 minute walk away from the hotel (located a short walk across the way from the hotel) , completely renovated with Free WiFi, A/C, Flat LCD Tvs’’s, daily cleaning, (comfortable and spacious) while being situated in historical buildings dating back to the 1400’s (apartment buildings are charming) and of course being in historical buildings one cannot install elevators but we do help bringing to and bringing from with the luggage.
As quoted, “location in Campo De Fiori cannot be beat and the rooftop view was magnificent”. The area has been of vital importance to the city of Rome since the medieval period always offering a fabulous market and a short walking distance to all of the major sites the city offers. Our terrace with its’ views offers something that not all that come to Rome can add to their cultural luggage. A treat within a treat!
The staff always offering sites which are not known by the common guests such as Ostia Antica “the Ancient Roman Port” is considered to be Rome’s personal Pompeii if not better because the time you need to reach Pompeii you can spend it in Ostia Antica reachable with only 1 train which has a cost of Euro 1,50 per person! The staff as I do thank you for your review and hope to see you soon with us.
Warmest regards,
F. Severino
