Great location and great staff, this place was a nice surprise!! Super helpful front desk staff with good english...and a wonderful breakfast! Rooms are small but nice and clean. Not inexpensive (what in Rome is?) but a great value overall!!

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Artemide for four nights in April 2012. If you are looking for an ultra-luxury five-star hotel, look elsewhere (and get ready to pay much more). But if you seek a top-tier four-star hotel with a terrific location and even better service, you can scarcely do better than the Hotel Artemide. You'll arrive to a small but stylish lobby staffed by a helpful, multilingual reception crew. Your room will be modern and clean with a large, nicely-appointed bathroom. (The oft-mentioned complimentary minibar is very nice touch.) The rooftop bar and restaurant is newly-remodeled and quite excellent, though a bit understaffed. Breakfast each morning is provided in a spacious dining area with an attentive staff and a great food selection. Once you head out from the hotel, you'll find yourself perfectly situated to explore Rome by foot, taxi, or (the very easy to use) Metro. We had high expectations for the Hotel Artemide, based largely upon its rave reviews on this site. We were not disappointed.

Room Tip: We stayed in the back of the hotel, which was amazingly quiet though lacking in natural light.

My family of 4 stayed at the Artimide from June 15th till 19th. Rome was the dleg of our holiday in Italy having toured the northern parts and Tuscany. Artimide did not dissapoint us and provided the ideal icing on the cake we needed in Rome. We were received warmly by the receptionists on arrival from Fuminico after dropping our rental vehicle. They were very courteous and friendly, helped us checked into our rooms plus booked us for the Vatican City Tour the very next day. The rooms were up to the mark, clean, spacious enough and very clean. Rome temperatures were 35 to 37 degrees C and we glad the AC was performing sufficiently. The bathroom was roomy enough. The hotel was gracious enough to gift every room with a bottle of wine as a welcome gesture. The minibar is replenished daily. Did I forget to mention the free welcome drink ( prosecco ) at the rooftop restaurant on the 7th floor plus the 30% off on 1 dining experience (food) for guests at the same restaurant?Location wise, one can walk from Artimide to Piazza Victorio Emmanuel, Pantheon, Trevi fountain or even
spanish Steps and coleseum depending on one's ability in the heat of summer. otherwise, one can easily catch a taxi to any destination. We enjoyed our entire stay at Artimide. To crown it all, our flight departing Rome was at 10pm and the Hotel welcomed us to use the gym bath facility to refresh ourselves before heading to Funimico. Thanks to all at Artemide!

Our family of 4 just recently stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Artemide. We had a family room that slept 4 and had plenty of space for luggage etc. We entered the room to find a huge fruit platter with at least 10 different varieties of fruit. My parents were in the room next to us and they received a bottle of red wine. Hotel is centrally located with lots of good shopping in the area. Hotel staff was awesome...we decided last minute to go to Capri the next morning and they arranged everything, including having bag breakfast's sent our rooms to take with us. Another unexpected surprise was the hotel sent my mom a bottle of champagne to their room for her birthday. This was the only hotel we stayed in that included the minibar. The terrace roof-top bar was great too. Food was excellent...the hotel really needs to promote their restaurant more. They give you a 30% off voucher upon check in so use it! The staff also helped us with dinner reservations and taxis. Lastly, the included breakfast was fresh and had numerous selections to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great breakfast buffet with attentive service, awesome complimentary mini bar, and coupon for free drinks at the rooftop bar...this place can't be beat. When we arrived in Rome, we checked in and went to the rooftop bar to redeem our free drinks. We actually stayed up there for three hours enjoying the weather, beverage, and an afternoon snack (something we didn't intend to do, but did so anyway because we enjoyed the scenery so much). During the course of the stay, the complimentary mini bar was a welcomed amenity.

The only qualm we had with the hotel was the dinner recommendation. We asked for a non-touristy restaurant within walking distance. We should have known better because most restaurants in the center of Rome are touristy. We we arrived and sat in the main restaurant, we realized something was up when the local Italians were seated in the back room away from the english speaking tourists. Our food was subpar, and they rushed us out in less than one hour. (I wish I knew the name of the restaurant). Once we got out and ventured out into Rome, we quickly found restaurants that put this place to shame. The restaruants at Trastevere were excellent. If you want great food, head over there.

Other than that, we will definitely stay here again. You can't beat the location and the amenities inclued with your reservation.

Room Tip: There is a small store across the street from the hotel. If you need anything, there is a place clo...
