“Great location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2012

I stayed in hotel Genova for 3 days and I would recommend it, especially to first time visitors to Rome. It's very easy to get oriented from this point of the city and to reach almost every interesting place. The hotel is also remarkably clean and the beds-big, hard enough, very comfortable. We were in number 501.Absolutely quiet,on the back side. The room is small, but were are they big in Europe?Go for this hotel!

Hotel Genova is just a few of minutes walk from the train station once you get oriented.
Metro station is also close to the station and hotel and love that Metro tickets only cost one euro.
Coliseum is about a 20 minute walk down the street. Vatican is further out and is best reached by using Metro.
Service at front desk ranges from excellent to terrible, depending upon who is there.
No free internet in this 4 star hotel. Disappointing.
Clean small rooms but hardly any room to move in the shower.
Soundproof windows did not keep all the traffic and metro noise out but we considered it white noise...

In my point of view one of the best hotels near the Train Station and near to center of Rome. I stayed in this hotel more than 6 times when I visit Rome in my business trip. Breakfast is more than OK. Clean, price is good for business people 2 minutes to the train station and 15 min. to pizza di spangia , Tip stay away from the rooms how are near the main road if you like to open the windows otherwise no problem you will not hear anything.

Room Tip: Tip stay away from the rooms how are near the main road if you like to open the windows otherwise no...

The situation of this hotel is very good. The railway station is near and from the railway station it is the best way to travel to the airport. There are many many restaurants near the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The rooms are small, but modern in terms of decor and fittings. And it's is not too pricey.

Plus points - cleanliness, very friendly staff, decent bedrooms, nice and quiet, inexpensive for Rome.

Low points - very poor breakfasts, pathetic lift service, boring locale, dreary bar, noisy air-con.

It is certainly not a place to get excited about, but it is is safe and reliable.

Room Tip: Fifth or six floor is away from any street noise, but too far to take the stairs. The lift holds 6 p...
