“Great place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2012

After staying at another Starwood property in Rome, we checked into the St. Regis, and wow! We were again upgraded to a suite, but this room was incredible. Beautifully decorated, fresh and clean, not huge, but plenty of space. Breakfast is amazing - cooked to order eggs, amazing pastries, champagne, espresso, I could go on. :) Really, this is a no brainer when offered the 500 points or the free breakfast - take the breakfast. And the level of service in the suite is incredible - complimentary shirt pressing, afternoon tea/snacks, personal escort from the desk to your room. Oh - and walking distance from Termini. If you're looking for a Starwood Property in Rome pick this one.

Dear Guest,
We are glad that you appreciated the upgraded accommodation and the buffet breakfast at Le Grand Bar. Thank you for mentioning the quality of the vast buffet selection; now enriched also with a dedicated Chinese corner. We are especially pleased that you loved the signature St. Regis Butler service. Their discreet presence, their little, but meaningful touches aim to create memorable experiences for our Guests to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you back, electing the St. Regis as your personal address in the Eternal City.
Kind regards,
The Hotel Manager

Very clean yet ornate rooms. Service is what makes the hotel outstanding. Concierge is truly creatively helpful.

Morning breakfast is very good and restaurant is very good but should be passed over in favor of local restaurants.

Just stayed 5 nights in this exceptionally charming, elegant, and beautiful hotel. The location is superb, and the service exceptional. Hotel was clean with well appointed spacious rooms. Even the most basic room was comfortable and unique and thoughtfully decorated. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon tea, or aperitif. Try the Bloody Mary- the St. Regis made this drink famous! Staff were professional, polite and ready to serve; as expected from a hotel of such reputation. Concierge was ready with any requests at any hour day/night. Would highly recommend, and would choose the St. Regis without hesitation for my next Roman adventure.

My wife and I used our SPG points to stay in this hotel during our trip to Rome. Nice hotel. We had a nice size room. Some of the rooms are a little different.
No pool and with the heat it would have been nice to have one.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the St. Regis. We are sorry that we could not offer the pool you wished during this very warm summer. As you may imagine, being this property an historical building dating back to 1894, a swimming pool is not of easy realization. We trust, however, that our Concierge team had the chance to recommend you the nearest open-air pools and refreshing places during your visit. With the pleasure of welcoming you back very soon,
The Hotel Manager

After joining the SPG in Venice, I booked through the service at St Regis, everything went through without any hassles.
They offered me an upgrade through the program once I had booked and although I replied that I would take it up they replied that they had been sold out.
We arrived earlier than anticipated, but were treated well and the concierge arranged fro a small place around the corner for us to have lunch at whilst we waited to check in.
The hotel is an impressive old world building, the room was great, even if the shower space a little crammed.
We were in Rome for only 3 nights and wanted to see Vatican museum and Sistine chapel which our concierge, Pasquale was not only able to achieve but managed to do it that night for an early a.m. start the next day. He also recommended a restaurant in the vicinity of our travels.
The hotel is a great hotel but as other guests have commented it is a little way off main attractions, especially during a short stay and if you are looking to go out for drinks and dinner.
Would recommend the hotel but I would look at staying in a more central position now that I know the location of major attractions and eateries.
