I have to agree with all the reviews posted about the Hotel Regno - fantastic location and staff so helpful especially regarding online check-in for flites home. Our room was at front on 2nd floor and the only complaint is that it was noisy from road traffic with window open and very hot with window closed. The air conditioning could do with being upgraded as not very efficient and Rome was very hot the four days we were there! But I would totally recommend a stay at the hotel for anyone who is looking for good accomodation in an excellent location - and breakfasts were great too. Rome is amazing and cant wait to go back!

Room Tip: Dont book a room at the front of the hotel, unless you know the A/C is working well as its!!!

Exactly as other reviewers have descibed . A functional hotel , it has everything you would need especially a great lotion . So near to everything & we walked everywhere easily !
Continental Breakfast very fresh and plentiful , staff very helpful . Even checked us in and printed off our boarding passes . Wifi available too.
Rooms okay too
You do get what you pay for and I would stay here again for sure

Room Tip: Email the hotel in advance and request a nice room

This was a fantastic location for exploring the main sights of Rome, which were all only 5 to 20 minutes walk away. The only exception was the Vatican, which was about 30-35 minutes walk, so anticipating a long walk round the Museum and Basilica, we got a taxi there, arranged by the Hotel Reception (9 euros), and walked back - a pleasant, flat walk along the river and over the bridge back to the Via Del Corsa where the hotel is situated. Being so central, the atmosphere round the hotel was very lively, and created a great atmosphere.

The Reception staff were very helpful with directions and recommending restaurants, as well as ordering taxis and helping people with airline online check-ins on the computer at the end of their stay. The hotel decor is a bit dated - lots of chintz and swagged curtains, but our room was very clean and comfortable. We had paid extra for a terrace, and I think this was well worth it as we had a room high up on the side of the building, away from the noisy main street. Our accommodation also included a small separate sitting room, sofabed and fridge, so it was good to have the extra space as the bedroom itself was quite small.

Breakfast was the usual buffet, but well supplied with cold meat, cheese, cereal, rolls and yoghurt, and very good coffee. All in all, we had a wonderful stay in Rome, and it was great to know at the end of a day's sightseeing, we didn't have a long bus or taxi journey back to our hotel.

Room Tip: If you like a quieter room, ask for one at the side or back on one of the higher floors.

Dream of a location in the main street close to all major attractions.
You will immediately capture the essence and ambience of Rome!
Easy walking distance to so many places.
Lots of food outlets.
Great shopping precinct.
No power point in bedroom to download; except one which is an OHS hazard.
Take a different plug adaptor to all others in various hotels.
Only 1 English TV channel.
Fridge & safe.
Air conditioning was not working and couldn't leave the windows open so a bit stuffy.
Towels hang over the toilet which is a bit disconcerting.
Silly situation re super-low chair to use at the desk when using laptop.
Overall would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Do not take the room which leads out onto a small patio because you can't open the windows in the bedroom and bathroom and be secure.

I think I got given the best room in the house-----the only one with the balcony (both times I've stayed here!) Lovely and central, easy with children to walk around at night and close to all the need-be attractions of Rome. Would definately stay again, and again.....!
