This cozy, friendly bar has closed. This was not a place to go for food, at least not for a full meal. It lovely for a coffee or cocktail, in a pinch for a quick, informal lunch or aperitivo snacks with a drink. The staff was always friendly. Neighbors say that perhaps staff may try to reopen it as a trattoria, but that's very speculative. The neighborhood lost a very friendly, unpretentious casual outpost. Until further notice, consider this closed as of April 2013.

The bar looks really nice and a couple of weeks ago me and my partner went there to have an hot drink.
Menu said:
Tea - 3€

We actually wanted 2 tisane and they were not listed, so we asked the waiter guy and he said they had them, we ordered two of them and did not care about asking for the price.
The place was really cold, we have not even took our coats off.

Eventually when I went to pay, I paid 12€ for 2 tisane since they are "SPECIAL tea".

I mean, are you kidding me?!

Ridicolus, will not go there again! next time I'll want to spend so much for a tea I shall head to a classy hotel, surely they have the heater on ;)

Ciao,

(in alto a destra)

We tried this small bar/cafe over one just down the road recommended in our Rough Guide, just off the Campo di Fiori. Comfy sofas and chairs, interesting decor, simple but tasty food and friendly staff. Would recommend it to anyone wanting some respite from the touristy bars and cafes in the area.

We had a very nice couple hours at Seventyniners / 79ers while in Rome in October. Exhausted from a day of sight-seeing, we stumbled in for a quick drink and ended up staying for our evening. Very reasonable prices for the drinks, a very good aperitivo / appetizer spread, fun music, comfortable seats, friendly owners, and lots of locals made this a winner in our book. It's a more adult crowd than the kids that swarm the bars immediately off Campo de' Fiori, which we liked. We'd go back for sure.
