“Beautiful”
Reviewed 30 April 2012

If you like to walk or bike without any interruptions, then this is the place. You can walk or bike forever. Pack some food, snacks and beverage as the stalls in the gardens is expensive. Don't forget to take a mat or covering in case you would like to have a picnic or just sit down, relax and read a book. If you like nature and beautiful surroundings, then this is the place for you.

This wonderful gallery in a spectacular Baroque building houses great works by Caravaggio, Raphael, Titan, Canova, Coreggio and Ruebens. Bernini's sculptures will take your breath away.

“Great place to get away from the crowds”
Reviewed 28 April 2012

If you're going to Galleria Borghese, the Spanish Steps, Via Veneto or Piazza del Popolo, you're within short walking distance to Villa Borghese. This beautiful open park offers a quiet and cool place to relax and enjoy the wonderful scents of Rome. Row a boat in the little lake at the top or if you're there in May, look for the horse jumping show in the arena. If you have small children with you, rent a bike at the oval (for bikes only), it's a great place for someone to learn how to ride a bike!

“Love the Borghese Park and Villa”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

Walking in the park is so nice, that you should do it if you can. Great shortcut to the Spanish Steps, Hotel Albani, People's Square and to Vatican City if you want a real hike. We walked through the park, down some steps and into an underground tunnel with shopping areas to get to the Spanish Steps. We also came from Vatican City, through the Piazza del Popolo and through the park to get back to the Albani Hotel. Any other way is a much longer hike. Only took a few hours and we saw some great parts of Rome! Lots of steps if you do this (from the People's Square up to the Borghese Park). The Borghese Museum is within the park. Small entry fee to get in. Love the gelato stand and cafe in the midst of the Park!
