We had been out for the day and having missed lunch wanted early dinner (you'll struggle with this in Rome!), however this restaurant didn't open early enough for us and wasn't near our hotel, but I liked the look of it and decided to return later in our stay if possible. The next day, having been dismissed from an empty Ad Hoc ("we're fully booked", without so much as a glance at the reservations, despite being smartly dressed, nor the offer of a table provided we gave it back by a specified time - poor experience....) we wandered down the road to come back here.
The waitress here, in complete contrast to the other, seemed genuinely pleased to welcome us in, always a good start!
My husband's pasta was on the solid side of al dente, but they brought a fresh version when this was pointed out, and my fish was superb. The seasoning was a little overdone, I detected a heavy hand with the salt, but overall good cooking.
The undoubted highlight was the great waitress who made us feel like we were her loveliest customers ever; I'd recommend giving it a try, but perhaps ask for your pasta cooked tourist style!!! :-)
