We were in Rome during the start of the holy week. Really glad that we found accommodation at Daysleeper inn. We took the nightswimming room and totally loved the whirlpool, which was big enough for two. With all the walking, the whirlpool was something we looked forward to every night. The room was cosy and warmly lit. The room was a little small compared to the rest of the B&Bs that we have stayed in Europe.

It was about 10mins walk to the Termini station, which was good cos we had to catch the first 5.52am train to the airport. And it was a 5mins walk to the nearest Metro. We bought the Roma Pass as suggested by Francesco & Manuela and got about everywhere by train and foot. There were also a laundromat nearby where we could get a fresh set of clothes.

The spread of the breakfast was good. One of the better spread during our entire trip. As we had to leave at 5am for our flight, Francesco & Manuela specially left us a set of breakfast the night before, which was equally scrumptious with bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, cake, juices etc.

Room Tip: Go for the nightswimming room with the whirlpool. It was a wonderful end to each day as the whirlpo...

We chose to stay at Daysleeper after reading positive reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. We took a bus from the airport to the train station (40minute journey for 4euros, tickets can be purchased at the airport), from which Francesco had emailed us walking directions to the B&B- only 10-15minutes. The route was 'interesting' and I wouldn't have liked to have walked it in the dark, but luckily there was no need to until our trip came to an end.
Francesco had arranged to meet us upon arrival at Daysleeper, and was very wecoming. the B&B was on the 3rd floor of a block of flats, generally occupied by students as the university is nearby. However, noise was not an issue at all! Francesco provided us with a personalised welcome pack (a nice touch) and a map. He circled all the tourist attractions, and areas with more nightlife. He also told us that Romes oldest icecream factory was just a 5-10 minute walk away- we discovered this on our third day- INCREDIBLE- with 50% off, three scoops of icecream (many many different flavours) was just 1euro- much cheaper and tastier than the icecream places around the tourist attractions.
He explained the metro system, the nearest station of which was a 5-10minute walk from thw B&B (Line A stopped at 9pm due to works and was replaced by a bus service until midnight) and how long it would take to walk from the B&B to the Colloseum (15-20mins), Spanish Steps (30-35mins) and the Vatican (50-60min). Walking really wasn't an issue, as it seemed like the best way to stumble upon Roman ruins and get a real feel for things. Taxi's were expensive, so walking was definitely the cheaper option.
On our first evening there was a power-cut in the block of flats, but we took this as an opportunity to take a nap after a very long day of travelling and getting our barings, so it was not an issue. Wifi was free, so we were able to use the internet to find specific restaurants etc..
The breakfast spread was great- toast, cheese and ham, cereal, yoghurt, home-made cakes, coffee made to your preference and a range of tea to choose from.
The mini-bar in the room was free, and bottles of water, cans of beer and coke and cartons of fruit juice were replenished daily, whilst cups were cleaned.
Our room (The One I Love) was spotless, cleaned daily and looks exactly how it does in the pictures- very modern. Toothbrushes were provided in the bathroom as well as slippers, and the shower was great, very powerful! Our bedding was also changed during our stay, however, my boyfriend left Rome with several bites on his back and arms, which we assume were from the bedding- but don't let this put you off.
All in all, a fantastic stay at Daysleeper- definitely recommend for a value for money stay in Rome! Thank you to Francesco and Manuela for their friendliness and helpfulness!

Room Tip: Some rooms do not have showers, but a jucuzzi bath instead- so if you have a preference, state this.

It was mine and my boyfriends first holiday away together and he found this hidden gem of a B&B in Rome! After a polite conversation with Manuela and Francesco on the phone we made a booking for September. They arranged a punctual pick up for us, with the driver filling us in on all the places to visit in Rome.

We arrived at the B&B in the morning. The B&B is part of a native Roman block of flats, absoultely fantasic as we were able to experience the real Rome! We arrived to a wonderful spread of breakfast, consisting of toast, a selection of beautiful Jams, cereals and museli, beautiful ham and cheese, cakes and yoghurts,a true all you can eat! Manuela was lovely and polite and provided us with a map of Rome, and spent more than half an hour recommending places for us to go, for example, sights such as the Vatican and Spanish steps, as well as recommending beautiful resturants!

The B&B itself, is very very clean! We we're provided with clean towels every day, and our room was cleaned every day whilst we were out. We had a mini fridge replenished every day with cans of coke and beer and clean glasses for our use. The decoration of the B&B is very modern and looks as good in real life as it does in the pictures!

Right next to the B&B is a lovely resturant (recommened by Manuela) called BoBo's with lovely food and very reasonable prices!

The B&B is walking distance from the colloseum, and Manuela explained to us about getting train tickets (four euros for a daily ticket) and using the train, which is a very efficient service.

I would definately recommend this B&B, homemade cakes for breakfast, lovely hosts, Manuela and Francesco who would do anything for you! So so helpful!

We would definately return!!!

Very clean room, wonderful continental breakfast, nice to have free minibar in the room. Location not bad, short walk to metro stations and the Termini. Francesco was a great host. Did not get to meet Manuela. The private transfer service from the airport that Francesco arranged was great as well, and a very reasonable 35 Euro all inclusive for the two of us. Very tasty little restaurant around the corner as well. The ONLY issue I had was the excessive street noise from below, but that cannot be helped due to the location. I would not let that deter me from staying again, and as two males traveling, I had specifically requested a room with a shower (not all of the four rooms have them), but perhaps a different room away from the busy street would not have as much noise. While this was annoying, it was tolerable, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends/family. Thank you Francesco and Manuela - Jon and Mark
