a big thank you to the staff of Relais Maddalena for making our trip perfect. the building location is perfect for anyone sightseeing as it is centrally located just minutes walk from all the attractions and restaurants.
the room is generous and so is the bathroom. clean, quiet and very pleasant hotel.
the staff were most helpful and professional.
complimentary prosecco for breakfest on a balcony overlooking one of most charming squares in town - what more you can wish for :)

THAN YOU!

Room Tip: we had a room with view of square

Relaid Maddalena is a wonderful place to stay in Rome. The location can truly not be beat. It is only a few minutes walk from most of the sites (less than a minute from the Pantheon- you can see it from the balcony of the breakfast room!). The longest walk would be to the Vatican which was about 25 or 30 minutes.

Rooms are very nice. There were some nice historic features (the ceilings are amazing!) but bathrooms and other features are modern and updated. The staff is wonderful and Francesco was so helpful, giving recommendations for restaurants, sites, etc. Breakfast was also lovely. A small but very nice selection. Pastries, meats, cheeses, toasts, fruit, etc. I loved having prociutto and honey dew every morning. There were also some wonderful cakes which I didn't try, but my husband said were phenomenal.

Our only constructive criticism would be that the building needs a bit of maintenance. Out shower drained slowly and we would have to stop the water occasionally and let it drain so it was a little frustrating. We did let them know but it was over a weekend; hopefully it's been fixed.

Overall it was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay here. Part of the charm is that you are in a 16th century bldg which means no lift. This may be a problem if you are mobility challenged, but 1-2 flights of stairs was not that bad. You are in a great location with the Parthenon 1 block away. Lots of cafes, gelati shops and interesting places close by. Don't forget to take a look in the local church in the piazza, every church in Rome is ornate including this one. Rooms recently renovated so nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. Would go back again.

Couldn't have asked for more. A lovely room, modern yet a truly authentic Rome building with beautiful stone stairs, a huge green door. Our corner room had two windows that opened onto the Piazza della Maddalena below. One night, a woman was singing the most beautiful opera below our window in the square. It was an unforgettable moment. We were there for our anniversary and they had set up our room with rose petals on the bed in a heart shape. Lovely breakfast room with wonderfully tasting croissants. Francesco was so wonderful to us, before we arrived and throughout our stay. Gave great suggestions on restaurants and even had drinks sent to our table. Also treated us to a wonderful gelato just across from the hotel. I couldn't recommend this hotel more. Perfect location too!!!

Room Tip: Corner room with two great windows (modern & new but with shutters too). They opened onto the Piazza below

We loved this boutique hotel we went back again after last year. Situated in piazza Maddalena it's so close to the pantheon and all major attractions are within walking distance. Having breakfast looking at the ~500 year old church from the window is magic. The staff are customer focussed , friendly and the rooms are spacious and cleans. Some amazing dining and shopping places close by and gives you a real feel for Rome. We will stay their again for sure , no need to look any further ...

Room Tip: Spend the extra few dollars and ask for a room overlooking the Piazza . It's memorable
