We went to Ad Hoc last night and we were blown away by the food. I went for the 'Land tasting menu' while my better half went for the 'Sea tasting menu'. What I loved about this style of dining was that I tasted food which I wouldn't have ordered from the menu. Our servers were extremely helpful and the wine which accompanied each dish was wonderful. For some reason we received a discount in our bill and our "gift" of a bottle wine was most surprising. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Italian dining as it was a wonderful experience.

We booked our restaurant via the website as we' were going to Rome for our 10 year anniversary. Glad we booked it in advance as it was fully booked on the day. Nothing was too much to ask, fantastic service , ambiance and food. Neither of us drink alcohol but the huge wine choice and tasting menu's would be heaven for those that do drink. The way the dinner was served with complimentary tasters,Explanations delicious fresh baked bread selection and perfect little biscuits for dessert. The price for what you get in Rome compared to what you get here make it a must do if in rome.Even a follow up e-mail.Thank you it made our trip all the more memorable.

We were fortunate enough to get a table with a 30 min in advance reservation. We had the sea tasting menu and the roman style. Both with wine. All courses were nicely presented and tasted fantastic. Loved the fact that we got a bottle of sparkling wine when we left. Staff were great and explained every dish in our menu. Really recommend this restaurant!

And that reason is great food, outstanding customer service. And did I mention unique and delicious food.
We followed the advice of previous reviewers and ordered the spaghetti and beef with black truffle. 25euros. Ea
Add an appetizer or 2...we loved the pumpkin flower dish.15euros.
Add wine or not and it can be an affordable dinner.
This was memorable in every way.
When in Rome....eat here.

The food was great! It's pricey for 2 tasting menus but you are in the restaurant for about 2.5 hours or more! They give you a welcome taster from the chef, some wine and send you home with sparkling wine on the house. The severs take their time and explain each item that comes out. I had the land tasting menu and they were kind enough to make substitutions when I stated I wanted something else within the menu. My husband got the truffle tasting menu. It's definitely an experience and they are booked full in advance so make sure you reserve a table or you will get turned away. For those with no patience go somewhere else, the pace is slow, don't expect to eat your meal quickly. It also gets hot. All in all, I'm glad we tried it.
