Apart from being BRILLIANTLY located (it is only a short walk away from Roma Termini station, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum) Frank and Solidad could not have made us more welcome. Really felt that any questions we had we could ask them - or consult one of the many travel guides littered about! We were given many good recommendations for places to eat (we arrived tired and hungry!) The rooms are really beautiful, everything has been thought of (right down to a bottle opener) and was fabulous quality (Ralph Lauren towels...) The bed was extremely comfortable - it was lovely to get a duvet! - and large enough for our four year old to crash out in the middle. I would recommend a stay at Frank's House wholeheartedly to anyone I know. It was a lovely haven to come back to after a busy day. I know we'll be back!

Room Tip: There are two rooms, both are lovely. One doesn't have an ensuite, but the bathroom just outside is exclusively for that room - would recommend either! Room 1 has a balcony.

We have just returned from our first visit to Rome and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Franks house is well located for sight seeing as most attractions are within walking distance and there is a Metro stop only 2 minutes away to get to Vatican City and slightly more distant places if interest. The accommodation was perfect for us as we just needed a place to crash and this was clean, comfy and nicely decoratedy. Our only criticism would be that since there is no breakfast provided we would have appreciated a kettle in the room to make a drink. Other than that it was ideal. A big thank you to Assunta who made us very welcome in Franks absence and was a delightful host.

We stayed there for 3 nights. It was great value for money. The room was very clean, bright and comfortable. Huge bed, very nice balcony and nice bathroom inside. There was no breakfast but it's realy not a problem in Rome. Definitely will back! Thank you Frank!

Room Tip: Ask Frank for tips in Rome!

We stayed in the large room with ensuite bath in October, and out eight nights there were great! Frank met us when we arrived and began being a great host, advising on restaurants, bakeries, getting around, and just making himself available to help make our stay more enjoyable. He and his wife were available for help getting around the city. The room was extra-large, well furnished, with ultra-modern bath, and the views were spectacular from the 5th floor balcony. (Yes, there is an elevator). Restaurants were all around the property, and the trolley, metro, and bus stops were about one block from the front door. The Termini is only five blocks away and easy to get to. If you are not familiar with Rome, be assured you will find the public transportation to be a wonderful way to get around. If we returned to Rome, Frank's House would be our first choice of "home base" for exploring.

Room Tip: Email Frank for information. He'll respond and be helpful.
