We booked a 3 hour skip the line with GLADIATOR TOURS...it was booked on arrival via a ticket tout however once we checked the price online we paid the same amount via the desk as we would have done via the web. 41 euros each
The ticket line for the Vatican were over 3 hours long and it was quite a heartwarming feeling as we passed the long queue of the morning with our enthusiastic guide MARCO who’s English was excellent.
His passion for Vatican City was enthralling and his love of Michal Angelo outpoured with every step.
It also really doesn’t matter what faith you follow as the Vatican is a Mecca for the religious, the historical and the curious. Of course it is also the place for cheap religious tat, from dancing Popes to Papal robes, see past that and everything from St PETERS square to the cistern Chapel is a classical delight.
TRAVELLER BE WARNED.....there is a lot of walking involved as well as steps but it is worth the collective views of sculpture and fine woks of arts. The gallery of maps is a stunning corridor of colour and a brilliant appetiser before Michael Angeles ceiling.
The whole tour was around 3.5 hours and worth every step and hats off to our guide who made it even more memorable More
