Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 3 July 2012

Just returned from 4 nights at Maison Giulia. This is a very nice B&B. More like a small hotel. Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Everyone there was great. Good Italian breakfast as well. Excellent A/C, 20 English TV stations, good shower and strong wifi signal. For me this is the best location in Rome. Two blocks to Campo de Fiore, 5 minutes to Piazza Navona, one block to the Ponte Sisto bridge that leads to Trastevere and tons of restaurants. Tratorria La Villetta(referred by Angela) was very characteristic, inexpensive and excellent. Plus you can't get lost as you are 50 feet from the river. Took me 15/20 minutes to walk to St. Peters along the river in the shade. Our superior room, #5, was small and there was no closet or armoire place to hang our clothes in which we got used to. Other rooms had them. I would get a different room next time. #4 is the best. They have less expensive rooms and a couple apartments as well. It was about 135E per night and well worth it. Next time in Rome I will happily stay there.

Room Tip: #5 is small with no closet or armoire. The other superiors are bigger and better. They also have che...

A small "boutique" hotel which opened in January 2011. Excellent location to get to tourist spots but not in a busy/noisy tourist area. All reception and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. An easy walk over Ponte Sisto bridge to some great eating places in Trastevere. Would also recommend AI Balestrari, less than 5 mins walk on way to Campo de Fiori, for their excellent Pizzas. Continental breakfast was excellent (thanks Bunny & Leo) and the cappuccini were some of the best tasted. We were made very welcome by Alessandro (x2) & Angela. We stayed in room 5 which was very comfortable, clean and roomy. Nice touch with the welcome bottle of wine (thankyou). No problems with free WiFi which was fast. Rome City Tax (4 €/night) was only additional payment. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. Could not fault it.

WOW! We just returned home from our Med Cruise. Prior to getting on our ship we spent three fabulous evenings at the Viola apartment. Highly recommend the location, only minutes away from all of the major attractions. Spotless and very quiet. They kept our luggage at the main location and delivered it to the apartment. Highly recommend this as a place to stay in Roma.

Allisandro was very helpful on our arrival pointing out the location of place to visit and good spots for a stroll/food in the evening. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk to a great spot for dinner in the evenings just across the river. Quiet location so a good nights sleep can be had as well.

Would definately stay there again.
