This review is long overdue...

We stayed at La Piccola Maison in October for 3 nights and it was the best stay of our European trip. The room was reasonable, clean, modern, comfortable, spacious for 2 people, and walking distance to practically all the major sites. This is not a regular hotel, but an inn, it felt like we were staying in a studio apartment with our own keys to the building and room to come and go as we please. Giorgio and his staff offered amazing service from the first email I sent him all the way until I got home and thanked him for the wonderful stay. They arranged taxi's for us, pointed us to the right restaurants, laundry and answered all our questions. We will stay here again the next time we visit Rome and recommending it to all of our friends.

Our room was just what we hoped it would be from reading other reviews.I usually struggle to sleep but the bed was so comfy and the area so quiet there was no problems in that department! The bathroom was small, but looked new-the shower was excellent. The fridge was handy for drinks,we learnt to take drinks out with us for the day after getting charged £10 for a can of coke by the colleseum! You don't get breakfast here but we actually preferred sitting and watching the world go by with a cappucino and croissant at the cafe around the corner each morning. La Piccola Maison really is in an excellent location for visiting all the sights of Rome. The Trevi fountain is virtually on your doorstep with the Spsnish Steps only a little bit further away.We made use of the metro which is only around the corner from the accommodation 4 euros per person for a day pass, well worth it for those longer journeys or when your feet are getting tired. We thought the accommodation was excellent value for money, and we got the room eve cheaper for paying cash.We would certainly recommend La Piccola Maison to anyone travelling to Rome,we actually think it deserves to be much higher up the rankings on Trip Advisor.
