“Simply the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2012

We stayed at this wonderful B&B for nights in early June and I cannot recommend it more.

We had been travelling around from place to place - Paris, Florence and Sorrento - and this, is by far the best place we have stayed on our trip!

On arrival we were a little concerned as from the street it doesn't look like a guesthouse but as soon as you get out of the lift on the 4th floor and are met by a smiling Agostino you feel much more relaxed. Agostino met us and brought us a glass of orange juice and croissant, introduced us to the room and then spent a long time explaining all the sites to us and the best way not get there. He also recommended a tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chanel, which was wonderful.

The room (we had the winter room) was wonderful. I think I did a little squeal as it was so airy and spacious, so clean and a lovely big bathroom- we had just come from an AWFUL place in Sorrento so I was s happy to be in a very lovely room.

The room has air con, modern well looked after furnishings, clean towels daily and your room is cleaned and tidied daily. It is also SPOTLESS! I don't think I have stayed in a cleaner hotel room and it is a long time since I have been somewhere and thought 'this is better than home'.

Breakfast is served in your room at your own table and chairs- sweetly filled croissants from the 24 hour bakery next door, toast, boiled eggs, cheeses ham, fruit, juice and coffee! Absolutely no need for lunch!!!!

It is 10 mins walk to St Peters square and the Vatican museums. It is a 5 min walk to the nearest metro that will wish you into town for 1 euro 50. There are lots of lovely restaurants in the area - listen to Agostino as the 2 restaurants he recommended were wonderful! Firstly 'Vito and Dino's simple food- reasonably priced but then if you can be patient to wait of a table then visit the Antica Griglia Toscana restaurant. Wonderful food and wine! The best tagliatelle with porcine mushrooms I have ever had.

We have walked home very late at night and found it very safe.

The only negative- and as I am trying to give the most honest account of my stay I have to mention it- is that the door into the guest house is VERY narrow. Most people would have to go through at a slight diagonal to get through ( unless you are blessed with small bones) so if you are a person who is on the larger side then it is quite difficult to get in and out of the door and it can make you feel uncomfortable.

However, this has far and away been the best place I have ever stayed within continental Europe and if we return to Rome I would have no hesitation in booking to stay here again.

Room Tip: The winter room is spacious and wonderful

Highly recommend this B&B. We stayed here for 7 days (May end) with our young kids 6 & 4 years old. Trip advisor has great reviews about this place and it does not disappoint. It is extremely well located, accomodation is very comfortable and super CLEAN! Breakfast is great as other reviewers mention. Gianluca, Agostino, Lizette are awesome hosts - very helpful, courteous and well informed. Our itinerary was very packed and we could not have had such an awesome trip if things were not up-to-mark with our acco in Rome which was our base. Very family friendly - almost like staying at your own (full service!) apartment in the heart of Rome!

We stayed at the QuodLibet B&B this past Memorial Day Weekend and absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay. The customer service was exceptional and the accommodations were very nice. The room we stayed in was very large and open and the entire room/bathroom was very clean and well kept! The European breakfast in the room was excellent and the croissants from the bakery just out the front door of the building were amazing. If you like Nutella, try one of the croissants with Nutella in them. The smells of the bakery flow throughout the building at all times of the day and make your mouth water as you enter the building! There is an elevator, so it really doesn't matter that the rooms are on the 4th floor. The only hiccup we had was that I listed our arrival time to the airport as 1600, but I meant we would arrive at the B&B at 1600. It was a misunderstanding on my part and they were extremely quick to come to the B&B location when I told them we arrived. I highly recommend this B&B and if/when we go back to Rome, we will be staying again!

If you are looking for a great little guest house that packs a punch far above it's size this is a superb place to stay. Gian Carlo and agostina - the owners make you welcome. It's location is about three minutes from the metro which whisks you to the Spanish steps for one euro fifty. The Vatican is a five minute walk and the local restaurants are about half the price of those in the main tourist area. Wi fi is free and fast, rooms are modern and spotlessly clean , breakfast you can pretty much have what you want. Check out the 24 hour bakery down stairs,

As a convenient economic base to explore central Rome I don't think you could do better

Only a 10 min walk from St Peter's Square & 5 mins from Metro this lovely well furnished place is highly recommended, It's close enough to walk across the TIber to the major sites such as the Pantheon, Colloseuem etc.. The local area has some lovely restaurants and bars- Borgo area is well worth a look around.
Gianlucca & Agostino were friendly, helpful & charming hosts happy to make suggestions of places to visit & helping out with directions on how to get there. They also provided the wonderful breakfast that was available for us to eat in our rooms- the pastries were excellent.

All four of us enjoyed our stay and thought ourselves lucky to have discovered such a gem in the magical city of Rome.

Room Tip: The Autumn room is at the back and quiet.
