“Better not to go, but if you go, hire the taxi by your own.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2011

The place is quite bad located, has no charm, the breakfast is very basic and the rooms also are. But the most anoying thing is that the woman running the place will offer you a taxi to pick you up in the airport for 50 Euros. Do not accept, because it is around 10 Euros cheapper and the taxis are quite easy to find. The same applies to go back to the airport.

traveled to Rome in Dec'09/Jan'10 with a sibling; we decided to stay at this hotel based on 1) the location 2) the price 3) the reviews online 4) the website

Overall it was a very disappointing stay.

The location is not central. It's on a hill, outside of the city center and the closest subway station is 10-15min away. The hotel is located on a small plazza which sees a lot of traffic, starting ~6am. The rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor of a residential building. We stayed in a room on the 1st floor, at street level - basically where you would expect a doctor or lawyer's office. The main office was upstairs and there was a complicated door setup to go from our room to the B&B lobby.

Because of the location (street level on a busy street), the room was quite noisy. In addition to that, we could clearly see anyone walking in the corridor or talking in the next room. On top of it the bed were squeaking. Overall it was a bad experience.

Service was downward terrible. We had asked if we could move to a single room on the last day because one of us had to fly back unexpectedly early - there was a single room available but our request was met with a flat refusal. Then the manager started to yell at us over the phone... I didn't think our request was outrageous especially since we had not paid yet. In all cases, the staff's response was totally inapropriate.

One last word: breakfast was stingy and served in the corridor / lobby outside of our room - not in a dining room. And if you want some coffee, they give you a token to go to the vending machine in the lobby. Beh..

Dear Robert,

we are quite sad about your review, first of all because we put so much passion and devotion in this B&B that we could never expect this reviews.

About the location of the B&B I assure you that so many customers are happy about the position of this place.

Subway in Rome is not so extended as subways of other cities and I can guarantee you that the closest subway station (Cipro) is 10 minutes of walking away.

It's true too that the vatican walls are 2 minutes of walking from the B&B and to Reach Saint Peter or other center monuments it's quite useless to get the subway.

I'm sorry for your ask of the room changing too, I admit that sometimes we don't understand well english and that some request could be misunderstood for something else.

About Breakfast, unfortunately the Italian Law does'nt permit to give fresh breakfast to customers, so we provide for a coffee and milk, cappuccinos and tea but we can't serve croissants or similar food because of the law ( a different law applyes to Hotels and Motels).

Believe me, we try to do our best every morning, from 5.00 am til night.

Michele.

Rooms are comfortable and the location of the B&B is ideal even though in the vinicity of the B&B there are jsut one local shop and a small cafeteria.
Breakfast is almost nonexistent and served on a very small table, may be you have for yourself about 50 cm space...
The biggest complaint conserns their honesty. In their web pages they offer limoussine service from and to the airport. They claim that it is cheaper than any taxi company and they told us by email that it is even cheaper than public transport. Both claims are false so be aware.
