This is an old convent that has been remodeled into a lovely hotel. We had both a King Size boardroom overlooking the courtyard (on the day we arrived) and then returned for an 8 days stay in a King Size Suite, which was a true suite - bedroom with large bath and then a separate living room with TV, desk, sofa and chairs. Since we stayed here for 8 days, it allowed one of us to sleep or nap while the other one attended to email, read or watched TV. The furnishings are old fashioned elegant, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom thoroughly modern. The breakfast was excellent, including eggs, cheeses, prosciutto, ham, salami, different types of cakes, muffins and even some excellent small croissants. It is served in an arched area - probably a former cloister. We went in March so the courtyard and roof deck were not in service, but the view from the roof deck is spectacular. Service was excellent. Do not miss the chapel that opens from the reception area. We also had no problems asking the reception to obtain taxis for us which came in less than 10 minutes, but we did most of our exploring on foot. This is not an area served by the Rome metro, but we were able to walk everywhere. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are wonderful choices nearby, so we did not find this a problem. We have been to Rome a dozen times, and have stayed in a variety of places, from the Via Veneto to the Via del Corso. Each has its benefits, but this stay was truly special. We highly recommend it.
