We booked a double room and could not believe the space we had. Huge living area with a self contained kitchen. A huge dining area in the room although the seating wasn`t to comfortable, but hey we booked a room and not an apartment. Bed was so comfortable and even though our room was near the road it was very quiet. Bedroom had more than ample space. Bathroom although quite dated the shower was a shower "no complaints here". Staff were limited but we did go off peak, the staff that were there were very helpful and polite. Location Location Location. Gajeta has so many different areas to stay, some not so near the old town. Hotel Gajeta offers it all. Highly recommended

We were walking by and decided to see if we could eat breakfast in their terrace. The receptionist, Juicy, said of course. So we had coffee, fruit, cereal, and pastries. We enjoyed the terrace, the view, the service, and had s lively conversation with Juicy. What a wonderful way to start the day. We are going back tomorrow for more! (they only charged 15 Euro for the three of us .... how nice not to get ripped!)

Hotel is in beautiful old building with very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room looked like newly renovated, bathroom ok. We had seaview and French balcony. Small bar in the lobby is cozy. Can only imagine how nice it is to have breakfast in the terrace outside (too cold in February). This is a very good three star hotel with reasonable prices. The staff makes it!

When you open your room door in the morning the first thing you notice is good smell of coffee!

Stayed here twice in november. First time 2-room "suite" (12) with view over the bay. Though traffic on the street below, no problem with noise. Very effective windows. Second time, smaller, but still large (30m2?) room (21). With side-view, so to say. Prefered the second room. We shall wish that next time. Furnishing a bit poor, but perhaps not complete yet. Comfortable wide beds. Bathrooms 100% in every aspect. Bar of course open as long as you wished. Only positive I can write about the breakfast, is very good coffee. Most other items barely eatable, drinkable. But I did not care. No interest for eating in the morning. I have been to Gaeta before, staying in the Old Town. But with car, I prefer this hotel. Between the old part and the newer part. Walking distance, I meen short walking, to both parts. Nice with elevator from the street up to the entrance.

Our room was cozy and charming with a princess balcony (not really a balcony; just a railing to lean on and gaze out on the bay).
We stayed there in 2014 and by the photos, they've perhaps improved finishes since then, but for the price point, it was perfect. I especially loved the patio for sitting, sipping cappuccino while reading or writing. There was usually a gentle breeze off the water.
Location is a nice walking distance from restaurants in either direction. Could have done without the military base across the street, but it was easy to look over to the water. Great place for watching the weather roll in from the Sea.
It would be walking distance to the beach on the other side of town, but we were lazy and drove (we had a rental car on this trip).
Gaeta really is an undiscovered pearl of a city.
