This is the sort of restaurant where the high hopes you had upon entering are completely unrealized upon departing. The setting is lovely, overlooking the Marina di Corricella. Things don't exactly get better from there. The service is INDIFFERENT and MECHANICAL. It seems the fact that you're seated in their restaurant is more than sufficient for the staff and ownership. The fresh fish offerings were basic at best and instead of the typical fish that two can enjoy, they had on offer a few small, uninteresting fish you can get anywhere in Italy. There was nothing to note about how the fish were prepared. The two appetizers we had were actually very good. The octopus was terrific and the lightly fried anchovies were delicious. What was awful here was the vino della casa, the house wine. I live in Italy and have been drinking house wines for 15 years, usually some pretty good stuff. This white wine had a strange yellow color and we were convinced it was diluted with water or something else. The flavor was strange too. Spend a few extra euros and avoid this VERY BAD house wine. All-in-all a mediocre experience. You can do better in Corricella.
