Penalty is a boutique in Vicoletto S.Arpino, 3. Just a few steps from Via Chaia.
I have known the owners for years, recently they have been joined by their delightful children. Penalty, stocks top Italian fashion brands, it is the kind of shop where you can really find something different. The owners, Sergio and Giada are lovely people, never pushy and they always offer good advice.
All in all, Penalty is a great shop and not to be missed.

We stayed in this district at the Palazzo Alabardieri. This area is very close to the sea-10 minute walk and the Toledo area -10 minutes. The area is where the upmarket shops of Naples are but only minutes away from the lower end of the market (Toledo and piazza del plebiscito) and plenty of reasonable priced bars and restaurants. When we stayed we never felt anything but safe in this area - what a great place to visit and stay.

Love monestary, basilica and cloister. Mostly Gothic so for me beats the baroque churches nearby (ymmv).

We loved our apartment and the district of Chiaia. It was a clean and classy area and one closest to the sea. The shops cater for everyone with local bakeries and green grocers along with excellent local restaurants in abundance. You feel safe and completely local when staying in Chiaia.

The unusual part of the city, less hectic and noisy, with many nice shops and restaurants, perfect for strolling around without every day’s chaos so typical for Naples. We took our time wandering around the cobblestone streets and enjoying the relative safeness of the area.
