Recently opened this restaurant is bright, modern and comes with a warm welcome. Whilst the downstairs restaurant might smell a little damp to us Brits, you soon forget about that with the warmth of the owners' welcome and the interesting dishes on the menu. Not sure what to have and you will be guided through with sensible recommendations - e.g my friend and Ididn't want a pasta course each, so they cooked one between two, no bother.
Based on traditional Neapolitan cooking the food has been given a modern twist but lost none of the flavour and added in interesting combinations. I had the stewed baby octopus to begin and grilled octopus tentacles on a puree of onions for my main; both very tender and full of flavour but totally different flavours. My friend managed an extra course and declared the 4, yes 4, rum babas that was his dessert, delicious!
The owners are also good at recommending wine that beautifully complements what you are eating and all the family made us feel extremely welcome; as guests in their city rather than annoying tourists.
Got to think of an excuse to go back, and very soon!
