We arrived on Capri on the first ferry from Sorrento and got to Hotel Capri at 10:30 expecting to be able to just drop our bags and come back later to check in, We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the room was ready(this was high season -late August). We got to our room which was large compared to some of the others we stayed at during our trip. The decor was a bit dated - but considering this is an island and that most things must come by boat - I did not expect some modern place based on the photos - we expected a great view - which we got and even though we were right over the street(which you needed to have the great view) the noise with the balcony closed was next to nothing. There was always staff to assist if we needed it and there was a mini bar in the room if you needed something. The location right in Capri Town was great for exploring and we took the bus and the funicular for travel which minimized the cost. What a beautiful island and we despite other reviews would book here again.
