Two good things about hotel:
1.amazing view (not from all rooms though)
2.free shuttle bus to and from town (although you have to pay €5 per person from Marina grande and no early morning shuttle bus to Marina grande)

Bad things:
- charge for wifi (€5 per device)
-wifi does not always work (keeps getting disconnected and you have to keep login in)
-room very outdated
-breakfast was not that great - although service was ok.

Overall it feels like the whole experience is not worth the money that you pay. I'd try to find some place else, although it's difficult to find reasonably priced hotels in Capri (beautiful island, but very pricey).

At the Weber the Internet is free of charge but if you choose the fast broadband line it will cost you 1 Euro per day: (is this the "Rip Off?).
The Breakfast is not included in the room rates and if you do not like it you simply don’t do it.
For sure we didn’t bring with strength the writer to the breakfast room!
The American breakfast costs at Weber $ 10, if you have one cappuccino in the Piazzetta square it will cost $6.
The Weber Ambassador is an hotel with 130 rooms and 26 apartments, we must control our property of 10 miles square.
Much more during this period, there are many tenders of millionaire yacths anchored in our Bay.
In these month we have 2 prime ministers from all over the world and many VIPs among our guests,
That’s why the safety must be very efficient.
The unknown people, if they come to our hotel during the night, must show their identity card.
The Weber guests can do whatever they want in their own room, we do not care about it, simply we don’t like to have problems if you invite local guest in your room and they don’t like to show any document.
We have 285 guest and we must give them safety tranquility, and serenity to them and their family.
Therefore we apologize with our writers, but for sure we must respect the law.
This guest has written this review to harm us, but for the privacy we can’t reply why.
We are very serious hotel!

Probably one of the best locations on the island, with quick access to the beach (although you have to pay to access it, it's not part of the hotel area). Room with sea view is a must (our was 711), it was simple as shown in the hotel website but very comfortable and clean! Enjoy the sunset at your room's varanda with a cold bottle of white wine is also a must do! :)
Vans every 10 minutes to the piazza are very convenient.
Staff is nice and willing to help. Special thanks to Antonio-reception that knows all languages and helped us a lot!
Did I mention that Frank Sinatra used to stay here for many years? Well, that must mean something, right? CONCLUSION: we definitely recommend the hotel!
Cheers!

We stayed at this hotel first for two nights. We loved the room, mainly the view of the turquoise sea from the room (yes, the balconies are separated by low "fence", but I think that's par for the course). We found that the staff (e.g., Anthony, Nichola, Susanne) was most helpful when my wife developed a pain in her foot. Because of her foot-pain and because we liked this hotel so much, we ended up canceling our stay in Ravello, and came back to this hotel for another 3 nights. Once again, the staff was very helpful, the views wonderful, and the food was reasonably good. And, once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at this hotel.

Because it's located at Marina Piccolo (which, to me, is great because of the relative tranquility), you need transportation for going shopping/sightseeing. For transportation to/from the Piazetta (the main shopping area), the hotel offers a free, frequent (almost every half-hour) shuttle. They also offer a reasonably-priced shuttle to/from Marina Grande (the main ferry terminal). Though, we often preferred the uniquely-Caprinian-style taxis for trips from Marina Grande.

Overall, in terms of hotel quality, location, the staff-service, and the overall value, this hotel is excellent.

A 2 night stay in Capri was just about perfect. Although there is a shuttle from the port to the hotel, we chose to use the very original open topped taxi which are quite unique to Capri, at 20€ it was worth the experience. First impressions are important, the female reception staff are dour and sad obviously smiling was not in their job requirement. Our room with its own terrace faced the sea with amazing views. Rooms were ok fairly basic but adequate not 4*. However the rest of the hotel with 2 pool areas and extensive areas is 4*. The hotel runs a very regular shuttle to Capri town where bling and celeb spotting is the game. Do not go in the day it is touristy go at night when it changes. Hotel breakfast was very good with a full buffet. We ate in Capri town at the sister restaurant which was very good. Capri is unique and must be seen, take the scenic round the island boat trip to enjoy the splendour of this unique and beautiful island. I would return to this hotel if I went back to Capri.

Let's start with the good:

-The view is spectacular.
-As a far of breakfast you can order cappuccino which is not an additional charge (I don't think). Those were delicious.
-Convenient transfer from Marina Grande and City Center. The hotel van from the city center is free and there is a small charge from Marina Grande which is farther. This was critical to our stay as we didn't really like being at the hotel...

Now to the not so good:

-Rude, indifferent staff. If you are looking for any direction as far as dining, what to do around town, day trip suggestions, etc. you will not find it here. They do push one restaurant really hard in the middle of town because they share (or at least one employee I saw in both locations) employees. We went one night and it was very good, so perhaps a star back for that.
-They nickel and dime you for a lot of things such as Wifi. We stayed on the 4th floor and the wifi didn't work. We had to haggle at check out to get the charge removed despite assurance the charge would be removed twice.
-Beach towels! There is a very over-crowded beach below the hotel and they only allow 1 beach towel per person a day. The towels we received had holes in them and also had stains. Rather than talk to the front desk staff again we just dealt with it.
-The breakfast is pretty decent, however one morning they were serving spoiled milk and I had to bring that to their attention when the pitcher was nearly empty... hopefully the other guests didn't get sick.
-We ate lunch there one day and the mozzarella was by far the worst we have ever had in Italy....ever. It was probably the equivalent of Kraft or Polly-O in the US. The pasta was ok, but it was a waste of money.
-The overall demeanor of the staff is one of unhappiness. I won't go as far to say resentment, but no one ever seemed to be happy.
-The room was very outdated & small, but was clean.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews here and were sorely disappointed. I would hardly call this an "oasis" as described in a previous post.

Room tip: Request a seaview with a deck.

The true things: The Weber Ambassador gives one towel for the beach and not 4 ,as this guest asked for , they are free of charge.
Our hotel recommends only our restaurant, 2 michelin stars; if you are looking for cheap and not the last one on tripadvisorWe are not cheaters, wifi works very good but only in the room, not on our beach, it is very large.
About the Mozzarella , it is funny, we have only Italian mozzarella, the real mozzarella.
Dear Gentlemen, I want you to know that in Italy giving 0.50 cents as a tip after a porter bring you 5 luggage , it's almost an insult , it is better to a smile and one thank you. a smile..
I want to add that to take away food from our buffet breakfast to bring to your room it is not possible.
For us the important things are: Cleaning the room, spotless linen, efficient air conditioning, great transfer service from the port, and to the center the our pools, the breakfast large and good buffet at only 10 Euro.
About the milk, give us time to fill it up!
