This hotel really lives up to its five star rating. We stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon and we were treated straight away like friends. They knew us by name immediately when we checked in. Our room was stunning and very romantic, very Capri style about it, but both modern and timeless. Not to mention the impeccable view of mount Solerno. The beds were massive and really comfy. They always knew when we were out and about and tidied the room for us, turn down service seemed to happen like magic. They were always willing to help us with any requests. They booked our boat off the island and arranged for our luggage at no extra cost. We had a coffee brought to room every morning free of charge (unlike some hotels that charged us 10 Euros just bring a corkscrew to the room). They didn't miss a beat. I couldn't recommend La Scallitanella more. The staff are really friendly, but professional. The free breakfast is amazing. Everything was just perfect. The bar was set very high for the rest of our hotels on the Amalfi coast and we stayed in a few. Thanks La Scallitanella. We will be back!!

Room Tip: The junior suite is well worth the extra money

This hotel is a bucket list type place, from the minute you find it on a back street off the craziness of Capri's main streets you exhale. Your met by Maurizio and your immediately family. His hand is out not for money, but for friendship.

The rooms are good sized and all have magical views to Ana Capri. It's a small hotel of 31 rooms which I loved.
One of the best pools ever with the same pool. The pool is run by the one and only Alberto. Again the hand comes out for a nice handshake and friendship.

All the staff are remarkably friendly and helpful from check in to check out.

It's not cheap in any way, but the value is in the way it's run and how the guest feels during the stay. I hate to leave.

It's a 5 minute easy walk to the best shopping and the main square.

I'd highly recommend this beautiful hotel. You only live one....

Have been here in the month of September 2016, just after the peak of the summer season... the hotel is absolutely fantastic, with great service, excellent meals, super friendly staff. The swimming pool overlooking the sea is amazing.
Would love to turn back here any time!

Best food. Best service of all time. Don't stay anywhere else. Honeymoon dream:) If they were open for dinner I would have never left the hotel. They gave us excellent recommendations to eat and took care of everything from A-Z. Felt like a king and queen!

We stayed at this property at the end of the season in late October 2016. The property and staff exceeded expectations. The rooms look out to the north over the cliffs of Capri, and breakfast is served daily on the terrace above with an even more spectacular view. Julia and Roberto were attentive to our every need, and even called me twice prior to arrival to assure that we had secured arrangements for transfer from Naples. The room are decorated in the local style, with blue and white tile everywhere, and an eclectic combination of furniture and fixtures, which gives a lot of charm and character. If you've never been to Capri, be aware you need to arrange transfer from Naples to Capri either by private boat or ferry. At the time of writing, Capri Relax Boats offered full service transfer including cab from the airport to the port in Naples, private speed boat to the marina in Capri, cab up the hill to the walking center of Capri, and a personal escort through the winding paths to the Scalinatella for 750 euro. The hotel offered to arrange everything for 1000. I chose to do it on my own and was not at all disappointed. Seems steep, but in the end added to the experience and made arrival after a long trip so much more fun! I will return to this property!

Room Tip: Higher rooms will have the best view
