We found Ristotante al Grottino on Trip Advisor. Thought it was best to look up a restaurant first to avoid ending up in just a crappy tourist place. Side street location meant it was quiet but seemed to have locals eating there which is usually a good sign. The waiter was very friendly & helpful. We picked our own table & the menus were in 4 languages. Ordered gnocchi & sautéd muscles with clams as a starter with bread. A couple of the muscles hadn't been bearded too well so got the dreaded crunch but other than that we couldn't fault it.
Main was pork with mozerella for my husband & pasta with courgette flower & prawns for me. Homemade pasta! Lovely! Lots of great cheese, nice creamy sauce, very well done. The only thing that disappointed me was that I wished there was more. Don't get me wrong, I was very full, i just wished I could keep eating!
Lots of nice little touches all automatic from the waiter, side plate for shells, finger bowl with petals in it, olive oil brought to the table for the side salad & cutlery to suit what we ordered.
Overall bill for bread, two starters, two mains, a salad & a bottle of water came to €82,00 which is pretty costly but actually very reasonable for this area! The fact that the food was so good really helped soften the blow of the cost but I'm sure it would be even better if you got more for your money!
