Gorgeous, romantic setting surrounded by lemon trees. The starter buffet and dessert buffets are incredible. Make sure you wear loose clothing as you'll want to try everything here. There is also an A La Carte menu which has something for everyone. Italian food at its finest!

Service so so, food so so, prices so so. Also a bit of a treck to get there. That said, dining al fresco under a lemon grove is a once in a lifetime experience and would still recommend a stop here. Just don't expect the "best" food.

We chose to walk to the restaurant, which is a bit tricky to find towards the end. There was a nice Italian family that pointed us the rest of the way. It's a nice walk but a bit of a hike, so I might recommend taking a taxi. They will also arrange for a taxi to bring you home if you want. We were immediately impressed with the setting...very unique and romantic...but I didn't like being sat right at the entrance. When I asked about a table a little further in, I was told sorry but that's reserved. A little weird considering the restaur was largely empty at that point. So we accepted the table and it ended up being fine. The next thing I noticed was how expensive the wines were...wow. Nothing less than 70 euros. We've dined at some really wonderful restaurants during this trip and in Italy there's not really a need to spend quite that much. The bottle we chose was very good though. The appetizer buffet is wonderful but pricing is very unclear again. 29 euros "per portion". We asked if we could share that or if that meant per portion and received a very unclear answer so we just both went up. We ended up charged for two of those. Kind of crazy to spend nearly 60 euros on apps for two, though we were so full we could barely finish the pasta that came next. Also incredibly good. We had to skip out on the dessert buffet, but our bill was still upwards of $220. Not exactly what I'd like to pay for the quantity of food, but we really enjoyed the experience so we didn't linger on cost. Just something to know. It was a very nice and romantic evening and we had good service.

My husband and I were in Capri for 3 nights this summer and had read about Da Paolino Lemontrees. We decided to try it since the reviews were so good. Aside from being some distance from our hotel, we had to walk a good way because our cab could not get close enough to the restaurant. As has been described in many reviews the setting for the restaurant is magnificent. You dine al fresco under lemon trees essentially in a grove. That, however, is where the magic ends. The food is fair and the service on the evening we were there almost non-existent. We were seated on the periphery of the restaurant with many other English speaking guests. Our waiter, although pleasant, looked harassed and after taking our order did not come back to the table. I had to walk around the restaurant at the end of the meal to find someone who would get us our check. If you are someone who likes a restaurant for its ambiance alone then this restaurant might be worth the trip. If, however, you enjoy food as well as a nice setting you would do better at one of the many other wonderful restaurants in Capri.
