My husband and I had dinner at Da Paolino on our last night in Capri.
The food was delicious. I wanted to try lemon everything...
Grilled mozzarella between lemon leaves-to die for!
"Ravioli Capresi " in lemon sauce-so lemony (I love lemons)
and the famous Lamon Cake!
I highly recommend this restaurant. Service was great as well.

While this may not be the top rated restaurant on TripAdvisor, it is the top rated on the island - it is fully booked a week in advance. If you want to go you need to book.

The entry is nothing inspiring - a walk up a street and a concrete pathway. But then it opens up to the most beautiful (large) terrace all covered by lemon trees. It really is like sitting in a lemon grove.

Although it is a big space it never felt rowdy or loud.

The menu is extensive with lots of fresh antipasto dishes, a long pasta selection and good fish and meat choices. The antipasto buffet is recommended - as well as having lots of seafood choices (as list in the menu), it also has an incredible selection of vegetable (read vegetarian) options.

The pasta selections were great - the lemon pasta in particular.

Wine list is long and detailed although not much on the inexpensive end.

Dessert buffet also breathtaking.

On the night we were there, two gorgeous Italian women were celebrating their wedding. Watching them, their families and friends celebrate, surrounded by folk singers and dancers, under the lemon grove, was a very special experience.

This restaurant is set in a lovely lemon grove. The service and the food were pretty good but not amazing but it is worth going for the lovely atmosphere and beautiful setting.

No doubt a place to be visited! Magical to have a dinner under that massive reunions of branches filled with hundreds of lemons. The place is really hidden and mostly reached by walk. The food is traditional I was a bit disappointed they don't have gnocchi. The dessert room filled with sweets is a experience!

Da Paolino is an absolute must visit Capri dining destination. It's truly exquisite with a backdrop of luscious lemon trees, giant lemons seemingly dripping from overhead. The walkway entrance is also beautiful, a great photo backdrop opportunity. The food menu selection looked impressive. The incredibly flavorful caprese salad was lovely..the basil in this part of Italy tastes like licorice and the tomatoes are deep ruby red. The "Ravioli Capresi" in white lemon sauce was so very flavorful. My only concern was the lack of service staff working in our section which is surprising for such a renowned restaurant. Maybe they were down a server? It was quite busy, granted it is August high season. Nonetheless, we had to wait quite a long time to order, get served, and then to also actively find someone to settle our bill. We had several waiters, not a main one, serving us. One of those waiters assured us he would get us a taxi, but that fell through at the end when we realized we didn't have anything secured. Having a local cell phone helped, but not everyone has that option. Make sure to get a taxi reservation back to town before leaving or it may be a challenge as this restaurant isn't on a main street.
