Close to the Piazzetta this restaurant is a Capri institution and its walls are lined with celebrity photographs taken over many years. Owner Antonio De Angelis is in the dining area every night carefully watching over every detail with his son Francesco and his wife Aurelia is the one taking reservations and preparing the bill.
If you value touches like linen napkins and old world service that comes from direct family involvement this is a place that will not disappoint. The food is delicious and simply prepared to highlight its flavors. My favorite dishes: paccheri shue' shue', a Capri pasta specialty. Octopus, sautee of clams and mussels, and grilled pezzogna-a delicious local fish similar to red snapper.
The value-to-price relationship is excellent and the overall experience is so satisfying that we ate here several times during our stay in Capri.
