This small hotel is out of sight behind a locked gate and quiet. Great location as it is right on the main road into the town square. Easy walking distance to shopping, food, train, bus, sights and marina. It's not fancy and the room small by US standards, but the owners are very nice, it's not expensive and you'll have a good stay here. No frig in room. Clean room. Close to everything you want to see & do in Sorrento. If you are driving, contact the hotel on best place to park, I took the train from Naples.

As per previous views it was a huge bonus to be staying so close to the centre of Sorrento. That is where we wanted to be so ultimately sacrificed comfort for convenience. The bed was super uncomfortable and ultra squeaky as were some in the other rooms!! Towel changing is not every day and it wouldn't be a problem if there were towel rails you could actually dry your towels on. Overall standard of cleaning was impeccable. If I were management it would not take a lot to take this perfect location another step higher with better mattresses and perhaps address the rather intermittent internet.

After I posted a review noting theft from our room, proprieter replied that he told us to report to police and we didn't... NOT TRUE! We did not discover theft til our next stop where we called proprieter who insisted it couldn't be, so we reported to police where we were then. It had to be cleaning staff as our room was cleaned while we were at breakfast. Bottom line: Be careful!

This B&B is a hidden gem. Everything is perfect. It is located at the Sorrento centre. The train station is nearby and numerous restaurants are around. Room is clean, well equipped with very nice street view. The owner Carlo is a key attraction. He is very friendly and helpful. With his arrangement, we were able to join a quality tour to Capri and Naploli. Many thanks!

Apologies for the pun in the title. Those of you who have stayed at La Magnolia know that Carlos has a camera/intercom at the Green Gate and cameras in the hallway of the hotel. Just after we checked into our room, he called us to make sure everything was OK. My wife was speaking to him and I was locking the inside of the door, just as he was telling my wife that we shouldn't lock the inside of the door since we could get locked out! Strange timing, so I joked that perhaps he had cameras inside the rooms! All things being equal - the hotel/B&B has an absolutely brilliant location for visiting Sorrento, it was really a 5-minute walk from the train station and with luggage it was still relatively easy (going the back way and NOT along the Corso Italia), the morning breakfast on the patio was always exceptional, the bed was extremely comfortable, the WIFI excellent. The only negative was that Carlos charged the entire 4 nights stay to my credit card one week before we arrived; I had been under the impression he would only put a hold on the card and I wanted to actually pay with a different card, but the full amount was put through instead. I booked through Booking.com and found different rates when I checked at different times. Would we return and stay there again - in a heartbeat!

Room tip: Rooms are small but the breakfast patio is a bonus.
