We stayed as a family of four at Villa Bianca in Sorrento in late September 2014. The villa was a 15-minute taxi ride away from the Sorrento ports, up steep and winding roads that gave an excellent view over the Bay of Naples. Situated on the quiet Via Nastro Verde, surrounded by grape and olive plantations, the Villa overlooks the entire bay, giving exquisite views as far as Mount Vesuvius, Naples and Capri. It is a 30-40 minute walk down to the town of Sorrento, via. small roads and passageways that offer great views over Sorrento itself, as well as traditional Italian architecture along the way.
The rental price was very reasonable given the quality, space and cleanliness of the villa. The bedrooms can accomodate up to 12 guests (3 double rooms, a double sofabed and an external guest house with two double rooms). The kitchen included a large fridge, oven, and dishwasher, along with basic utensils. The beds were comfortable and air conditioning units are found in every room to ensure good air circulation. The outdoor pool is a great size and includes a springboard for extra fun. A restaurant that serves great Italian food at a reasonable price, Il Gordo, can be found with 5-minute walk down the road towards Sorrento.
Paola, our host, was extremely kind and welcoming, offering us cold beverages upon arrival as we arrived slightly early of check-in time (4PM), and taking us by car to a nearby supermarket where we were able to buy groceries for our time at the villa. We had assistance with our luggage and upon our departure a taxi arrived at the doorstep to take us back to Naples Airport.
