This hotel is in a perfect position for awesome views over Sorrento !

The staff are exceptional particularly Nino and the night reception man with a moustache
The food is beyond all expectations - the flavours , presentation and tastes were beyond expectations made it a great holiday.

Bright clean rooms top it although a noisy road and mad drivers

Room Tip: Annexe lower floors are noisy but you get used to it and get a bath as well as shower

Really cute, clean and colorful hotel. Sadly, the pool was too cold when we were there and not yet open in March. But it looked really nice. The staff was 100% friendly and welcoming and always had some good tips for us. It makes a great base for exploring all of Amalfi. Breakfast was standard Italian but they did make fresh eggs upon request for us. Spend some time relaxing on your balcony with that gorgeous view. Since we were there offseason too we got to park for free in the garage. The rooms were not the biggest, but they were clean and that view was the best thing ever in the morning. It was also a nice walk to and from the city for dinner, just make sure you take an umbrella if it's supposed to rain!

Dear BeachesandBrunello,

thank you for choosing Hotel minerva Sorrento for your stay in Sorrento!

It's nice to read you had a great stay in here and enjoyed our amazing views over the coast! As you came here in amrch the pool isn't yet available because it is outside and it's still too cold to sunbathe..
However we hope to have you back here in summertime to enjoy it too!!

Kindest regards

We spent 4 nights here for a short break. Unfortunately the room did not meet our expectations, we were on the 7th floor and we had a tiny window which made the room feel a bit dark and enclosed. The storage in the room was minimal and the bathroom needed a spruce up. The main issue with the room was how noisy it was, from 6:30 each morning you could hear people outside and the lift was very loud. You’re also by the pool entrance on this floor, luckily they don’t open it until 9am otherwise it would have disturbed us even more.
The food was good at breakfast but we found the set menu in the evening quite limiting and struggled to find things we liked- luckily we had a big lunch most days when we were out so this wasn’t too much of an issue.
The views from the hotel are to die for and the location is good, just a 10 minute walk into town, be prepared for a steep climb on the way back up.
The staff were all very friendly and Nino especially helpful.
If we returned I think we would request a room on the 5th floor as these were the ones with balconies.

The hotel itself is actually lovely and the view from the roof top pool and the dining area is breathtaking - the staff are lovely and helpful. I guess we just got the runt of rooms on the fifth floor with with a tiny window and near the lift (which rumbles when in use), the room had one wardrobe with a total of 6 hangers (3 each each!!! spoilt for choice) , oh and the room safe didn’t work so our £15k diamond jewellery possibly wasn’t insured! The food was excellent and the breakfast buffet was excellent too, so really it was a good hotel just a slight shame the room was a bit pants.

If you need to restore your soul rest here awhile. This beautiful hotel has breathtaking views of Sorrento , set so close to the sea you can reach out and almost touch it. From the moment you arrive it envelopes you in it’s own unique serenity with its every nook and cranny a viewing spectacular. From the magnificence of Mount Etna to the sprawling twinkling lights of Naples and the tens of small boats busily criss crossing in the bay you are captivated immediately by its magic.
I particularly loved the restaurant where Nico presided over his team dedicated only to please. Every guest was important and special to him as he took each of us through the menu giving a tempting tease of the evenings menu surpassed only by the arrival of delicious and varied dishes. No matter to Nico or his team if all the guests arrived together they never faltered ,seamlessly stepping up a gear so that the rhythm of your evening’s pleasure never changed.
Follow this with some wonderful and varied musicians singing and playing to a backdrop of chattering guests eager to exchange views of their day over coffee or cocktails before slipping off to bed and a restful sleep in a beautifully decorated and comfortable room.
On waking refreshed and ready maybe for one of the many available excursions, simply stop off at reception and they will assist you with choosing and booking. Or wander to the roof and spend the day relaxing by the pool where guests are supplied with towels and sun beds and you won’t be surprised by now, those magnificent views.
No wonder this hotel’s reviews are so good because from the moment you arrive you are a slave to its ambience and the genuinely lovely people who work there just for you.
My review bears no trivial details judging and weighing good over bad because this hotel is an experience that comes with a guarantee, all you need to do is relax into its heart and soul and let go.
