We stayed here for just under a week , we had an upgrade room , first the family who run this hotel are very hard working , a friendly . The food was al a cart . The room was cleaned each day , it is surrounded by a lovely lemon grove , we had a view over the sea. We had checked out other hotels before booking this one , some ranged from £450 a night , which I'm sure are very good , but not our budget . The walk into town took on average 20-25 minutes . We could have caught the bus outside the hotel , for 1.5 euro , but the scenery was so lovely , we walked ,

Room Tip: We had room 20 , has balcony , and view of the sea

La Pergola is a small hotel located between Amalfi and Positano. The staff were both helpful and friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The restaurant within the hotel served dinner, and it is as good if not better than you will find on the coast. Everything is fresh from their garden or caught that day. If you find yourself on the coast I highly recommend this place. I will definitely return.

Other than reading TA we had done very little planning for our week (just outside) Amalfi. On arrival at Naples Airport we asked at the Information for directions and we were very pleasantly surprised to be told to get the Curreri bus waiting outside (check times - we were lucky) for Sorrento and then change on to the SITA bus for Amalfi,
It was not a quick journey but went like clockwork and cost a total of 12.70 euro each We told the driver of the Amalfi bus our destination and he stopped without further reminder (right outside the hotel as other reviewers have pointed out).
We were very well looked after from the moment we arrived and room 12 had a squash court size verandah!
The book in reception has a number of walks and visits and we did the walk down from Ravello which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Room Tip: I guess all rooms have a view

Set very close to amalfi next door to the bus stop giving great access to the centre / you can easily walk too. Good evening food, great service! The service that you receive from the staff is great.. Daniella and Mario are a credit to the hotel and will always look after you and even book your dinner where the restaurants will come and pick you up!

I couldn't agree more with most La Pergola reviews. I picked La Pergola because of the value and reviews from Trip Advisor. My husband and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary in September 2015 with La Pergola, and would stay with them again just for the dinners and dessert. We ate at La Pergola every night of our stay. Very clean place to stay and helpful staff to guide you on your excursions. Although we did daily excursions, rent a vespa for the day and enjoy the coast and souvenir shopping. Hope to see Mario, Danielle, and staff again someday. Thank you for the memories Amalfi.
