We chose this place from the reviews and it was close to our hotel so we knew after all our walking and tired legs it would be a quick trip home. Despite being slightly off the main drag and tucked away it was heaving with people even though it is a large restaurant. As our Italian is very poor we had been on the website which gives you an English version and we were able to look at the menu in advance which was so helpful as neither of ya eat seafood. Fortunately we pushed past our first impression of the waiter on the door who needed a happy pill and to chill. He was just plain grumpy. Not a great first impression. Luckily for them everyone else was engaging and pleasant despite it being a busy full house.
The food was amazing. We had a starter and a main each. The bread was seriously the best I have had in Italy. Served warm. The service was very slow but then we weren’t drinking on this occasion & we were extremely tired. So maybe it felt exaggerated. We had booked late so even though a stunning cave restaurant we had to sit outside on the terrace which on a warm night was still lovely. All in all a lovely meal & evening.
