Good hotel in a quiet area

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 8 Apr 2018
Stayed 5 nights at the end of Mars. Totally pleased and happy with our stay.
The check-in was pleasant, and we were given a lot of info about the hotel.

The hotel requires a little walk to get to the more central areas, but as the most central parts of Valencia is very flat, this is easy.
Also, a good starting point to walk in the direction of the Concert Hall as well as the famous Aquarium and Opera house.

Our room was located on the 2nd floor and had a balcony with chairs and sunbeds. Not much view as the walls are quite high - I guess this must be either for security, or for a historic reason.
Good, quite hard bed. The first night our air-condition was not working well, but as we mentioned this on our 2nd day morning, the issue was resolved during the day.
WIFI coverage good as well, and speed was good, nothing to complain about.
Bathroom was very comfortable and had both a bathtub and a nice shower section with stable water temperatures/pressure.

Breakfast can be had either inside go outside in the garden located in the middle of the hotel. Selection quite OK, with some local variants of fruits and sausages.

Tried the in-room dining one evening, ordering 3 dishes. Quality good and the service can absolutely be recommended if i.e. tired from the day and you just want some easy food for the night.

Finally, worth to mention is that one of the City Sightseeing bus tour operators have a stop very near the hotel.

So, if you like to stay in a calm and quiet part pf the city YET what we still would say is centrally and convenient, this hotel should be one of your first choices in Valencia.

The hotel looks old tjough tge rooms were quite big and nice
The location is not good. The old city and the other restaurants and bars are a hike from here. The front desk refused to increase tge checkout time beyond 30 min even though the hotel looked empty. For tge price am sure there are much better properties around.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback regarding your last stay in our hotel.

The Westin Valencia Hotel is located in a quiet residential area of the city, ten minutes walking to Colon Street, close to the historic center, the commercial area and the City of Arts and Science. We are sorry to hear the location did not meet your expectations, it is normally one of the benefits our guests emphasize, being close to the center, but avoiding the noise.

Due to the SportS Event we had these days in Valencia, our hotel indeed was at its full occupancy. We always try to adapt to our guest’s needs, and we are very sorry that due to the lack of availability in this occasion, it was not possible to grant you with a late check-out.

Regarding the rooms, we appreciate your nice comments about the size and the decoration, we are happy to hear you felt comfortable during your stay.

If your travels ever bring you back to Valencia, please do not hesitate to contact me directly, I will be delighted to assist you personally.

Kind Regards,

Maria Jose Mihi

A beautiful hotel with a good location in Valencia. The rooms are nice, the food is delicious and the spa area is great! We especially enjoyed the pool and the steam room! Most of all: The service is absolutely excellent, and special dietary needs and other wishes are fulfilled to perfection!!! We will definitely come back!!

We stayed here for 5 nights over Easter with our large family.
We were happy with the check in, all staff were very helpful with everything from directions to restaraunts. The conseiere desk was especially helpful with taxis and reservations.
The grounds are exceptional as are the furnishings throughout the lobby and hallways.
The breakfast was excellent with all the choices imaginable for every tastebud.
The Japanese restaraunt was good not a huge selection.
The lobby bar was a nice setting with piano entertainment and great service cocktails and tapas. We went here several times.
The room was very sufficient and cleaned and stocked ever day perfectly. The patio was lovely and also cleaned daily. The air conditioning was only issue with room. Couldn’t seem to get it cool in room.
There is a spa pool available for younger guests to enjoy if isn’t busy with too many patrons.
The location was perfect for us, we love to walk and it was a nice walk to old town shops, restaraunts and park.
Tip- Ride hop on hop off bus and see all the sites down to Oceangraphic and Science Center as well as beach. Eat at the Marina.
The hotel had an egg painting with young guests and left an invite for our youngest with his name on it in our room with a kite! He felt so special! Away from home for Easter but Westin made it perfect!
Thank you!

Room tip: Balcony room for sure.

This was our second visit. The rooms are large and have a separate bathroom and toilet. The hairdryer is powerful (I had to turn it down, very unusual) and can be used in the room as well as in the bathroom. The staff are extremely friendly and keen to be of service. All the food we had in the hotel, breakfast and lunch, was delicious.
The location is a 20 minute walk from the old city but is in a quiet and pretty area. Taxis are cheap if you don’t like the walk. There is a spa in the basement with a 10 metre pool, a sauna and steam room and hot and cold showers. One of the nicest features is that it has a central courtyard where you can sit and read in the sun. I would definitely stay here again if i were returning to the city.

Its a classic Hotel with large Rooms and with a huge walk in closet which continues to the bathroom with separate toilet. Excellent breakfast although quite expensive. The hotel has a nice interior garden where you can sit and have a drink or coffee. Walk to center of town is 10-15 min. The service is excellent and is what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
