Our first family holiday and loved every minute of it and wished we'd stopped longer. Clean and spacious apartment with air con, lovely food and drink (all inclusive), pools and slide fantastic, staff were lovely and helpful, gorgeous views and the beach is gorgeous too. Didn't make much of the entertainment at night time, enjoyed one night when the group indie played other than that was a bit disappointed, hotel should have game nights just to make it a bit more entertaining eg bingo etc. The kids disco was repetitive my children aged 9 & 12 enjoyed the games room and free WiFi better. The shuttle bus is only 8 seats but clean & comfy with air con.The ques for the sun loungers was laughable and not necessary as we always managed to get a few without queing. The Hotel is quite a distance from the airport but well worth the journey, and we will definitely be booking for another holiday here

Facilities were good. The pools were great but would have been better if you could use inflatables in all of them rather than just in the baby pool.  Evening  entertainment was brilliant. Big shout to Miriam, Eduardo, Carlos and Vanessa
Good selection of food prepared well, even though i was a bit sceptical about the raw and cooked meat on the same grill at the same time, especially when the same tongs were used without being cleaned between raw and cooked!
There are quite a lot of steps. but it is built on a hill side so that can't be helped. There were ramps and lifts.
Apartment was nice. Nothing flashy, ( maybe just needed a lick of paint imho )  but perfectly adequate.  Lovely view from the balcony overlooking the rock.
Minibus into town was handy - goes several times a day, make sure to book 24 hours in advance as placess on it fill up quick.
Would probably go back to calpe, if it wasn't for the 2 hour transfer from the airport

We stayed in group of five in a two bedroom apartment. We thought the beds were very comfy and there were spare blankets and pillows in the wardrobes. There was a double bed in one room and two singles in the other. The settee in the lounge was another bed and it had a trundle bed underneath. All the beds were big enough for adults. Apart from the settee, there was an armchair in the lounge, a cabinet and a small flat screen TV (only one English channel). We found two wooden fold up chairs in a wardrobe as well. We were impressed to find a decent sized galley kitchen with a full size fridge freezer but all the cupboards were empty. We had to ask for a kettle and cups and we brought plastic glasses up from the bar. Most hotels have at least tea and coffee facilities in the room and, as we were on half board plus, it was annoying. The balcony was big with brilliant views over the town and out to sea.

There were a lot of steps. The lift to the various terraces was slow, hot and we did not feel confident that we would actually reach our floor in it. People with any disability would find it hard going, and young children needed a lot of supervision to prevent falls. There were some apartments at reception level and a lift from reception to the restaurant and bar, but more steps and ramps between pools. The hotel is built into the hillside, away from the town, but the compensation of being away from the crowds and with beautiful views was worth it.
We went as half board plus and wish we had gone as all inclusive. We thought the shop might sell food, but it only had water, drinks and ice cream. We knew there were no shops or restaurants nearby. Our choice was to go to the supermarket and stock up on food we could prepare in our limited kitchen, or we could pay to have lunch in the restaurant every day. We chose to go to the supermarket which was 45 minutes walk away - much of it on roads with no footpath so not ideal to walk with children into town. We could have taken the minibus, which needed to be booked at least 24 hours in advance and only took 8 people and it only runs about every half hour between about 10am and 7pm. When we decided to go to the beach one day, we could not book the minibus back and found that the local taxis are only licensed for 4 passengers so we needed 2 taxis.

The food in the restaurant was very good. There was a choice of meats and fish every night and at least two dishes being cooked by a chef in the restaurant. Sometimes this meant queueing and there were times when we felt two chefs would have made things work faster. There was a selection of food for children. There was a good selection at breakfast as well. If trays of food were empty, it was not long before the kitchen staff appeared with a refill. However, the downside of the restaurant was that tea and coffee was only available in the morning so it meant going to the bar to get them in the evening, and having to pay as we were not all inclusive.

The bar was a disappointment. It was advertised as a lounge bar but was more like a saloon bar, with a pool table and other games, and a small television showing sports. There were no comfortable chairs to sit on, just hard chairs around tables, and I felt that it would have been pleasant to have a lounge bar away from the entertainment and pools.

Entertainment was very good. The children really enjoyed the Kids Club and the Kids Disco every night. Lion King was the highlight of the week, even though it was in Spanish, but get there early if you want a seat because people send a child to reserve a table and chairs while they finish their dinner in the restaurant.

While on the subject of reserving seats, the sun lounger stampede was horrendous. People were queueing from about 9am and waiting for the gates to open at 9:30. Even then, we were sometimes unlucky in getting even two beds. People rushed in, grabbed as many beds as they could, and then their children went off to kids club or into the pool so most of the beds were not used. In some cases, nobody came back to use any of the beds they had reserved - these were generally reserved with hotel towels. We asked a pool attendant if we could use the beds as no-one had been there and they seemed afraid that there would be an argument so told us it was best not to use the beds.

The pools were clean and quite warm. During the day, there was entertainment at some of the pools but there were enough pools that you were not hindered if the aquagym or water mat were in use.

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the entertainment staff were especially so. If there was one star of the week, it was Miriam who worked from morning until late at night, every day we were there and always with a smile on her face and a cuddle for our children.

Ok worst part about this hotel comes first; the transfer from Alicante airport is about 2 hours on the transfer bus. If you can take a private transfer; 45 mins tops.
But once you're there at Imperial Park its all good. Our room was quite a way from the pools but it also meant it was quiet at night, hardly anyone walking past. The food is quite good for an all-inclusive, you get fed up of it after a week but there's always something to eat; bread, salads, 3 different things on the hot plate every meal, kids section, huge rice dish of some sort, lot of fruit, yogurts and ice cream. The snack bar has self-service hot dogs, nuggets, chips, salad, crisps and nuts for a good few hours during the day.
The pools are good, inflatables only allowed in the kids pool at the bottom. The toboggan only opens for a couple of hours every day (that;s the big slide they advertise but don't tell you its not permanently open) There's plenty of activities going on during the day for both kids and adults. Miriam who runs the animation team is super, really loves her job. She also leads the disco for the kids at night, it was nearly an hour of keeping the kids entertained. The evening entertainment was OK; pool party, spanish dancers, mechanical bull, lion king show but not a parrot show in sight.
The hotel is located way up in the hills so you need a taxi to get down into Calpe but thats only about 12 euros. All the staff at the hotel are lovely, can't do enough for you.
The room was basic but OK, air con works well if you leave a credit card in the slot all day (they tell you to put your room card in it but there's no need) Kids slept on the settee which turned into a full size bed and a pull-out from under the settee, again full size mattress. The room was always clean and the balcony was huge. Had a laundry airer which was very handy for drying wet swim clothes. In fact it had a table and 4 chairs and 2 loungers with still plenty of room left.
We would recommend this hotel to families.

Room Tip: away from the pool and night entertainment is best
