This is a nice hotel but if you enjoy lounging around the swimming pool then it's not for you. There are 2 pools, one at the back of the hotel which when we were there was in the shade all day; another on the 8th floor. Both pools have around 20 sunbeds around them. Don't know about the roof pool but the other pool rarely had anybody in it as it was colder than the sea. There is a lot of building work going on around the hotel so can be noisy. On the plus side the sea view rooms are well worth paying for as views are exceptional. We had to book a 3 bed room as there were no 2 bed sea views available and we were allocated 201 which has a massive wrap around terrace and 2 sunbeds which we made great use of. However, i felt the shower over the bath could do with modernising and the addition of tea/coffee facilities in the room would be a great addition as I never had a decent cup of tea during our stay.We stayed bed and breakfast. Whilst husband was impressed as he eats full english I was not so impressed. There are only 3 cereal options; one being sugar puffs - I would expect better e.g. muesli. As others have said the breakfast layout could be better too as things seem to be a bit randomly placed. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The better ones we found being set back in the town and not those on the seafront.

Room Tip: Definitely sea view room

Excellent hotel in prime location, we booked early and got a very reasonable price it was well worth the money. The roof pool area was well worth a visit too. hotel is very clean, very friendly staff. we would use this hotel every time and recommend it to anyone. 4 stars is the correct rating for this hotel.

Room Tip: tea and coffee facilities in the room would be a bonus.

I have had the most amazing nine days in this hotel, the room was lovely spotlessly clean and a fantastic view of the beach from the balcony.
All the staff were pleasant and very helpful and friendly. Great view from the rooftop bar and two very nice swimming pools.
Breakfast was great a marvellous selection, the only criticism is that the breakfast layout needs thinking about again, for instance you would expect the milk to be beside the tea and coffee machine, and the cereals, had to walk across the room from the fruit to the yoghurt. The easiest thing to do is to Mirror image in such a large room keeping the cooked food in the centre.
But walking the dining room in the morning was a very small price to pay to stay in such a great hotel.
Well done the manager and staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view with a enclosed balcony

We stayed for one night at the Bahia Hotel in Calpe the hotel overlooks the beach with fabulous views of the sea and the Rock of Ifach.
Staff Are really helpful and friendly, the rooms spotlessly clean and a sea view to die for.
You can park directly underneath the hotel for 24 hours for €10 which is worth it given the convenience and great seafront location.
Buffet breakfast is well organised with plenty of choice, my wife needs gluten free foods and they were also available.
The diem rooftop bar and pool overlooking the beach make you feel like a millionaire and the cocktails whilst not cheap, are generous measures and delicious.

You are just a short walk along the front for a choice of dinner restaurants that cater for all pockets.

We will return next year for a longer stay.
