This water park is of a good size, not too big that it takes you all day to get around! Some of the rides were, of course, on hills so a little tiring to get there! Food reasonable and not too overpriced.

This is a very well maintained and huge water park. We took our 7 and 9 year old kids and they loved it. Having read the other reviews first, here is some useful info.

There are discount coupons available all over the place. They hand you the brochure (containing the coupons) at the airport and they are piled at gas stations and in hotels. The adult rate is 29 euros and kids are 22. The coupon offers discounts of 7.5 euro off for adults and 4 euros for kids. They also have a same-day family rate on their website for 20 euros per person for families of 3 and 4. (That's a tiny bit less than the coupon rate, but who has a printer to print out the voucher?)

Yes all the water on the slides is salt water. It's fine. It's less salty than the Mediterranean and it's no more bothersome than the chlorine that is usually in the water at other parks.

Bring flip-flops or sandals as the pavement can get hot on some rides. No you can't use them ON the rides, but just leave them at the bottom and retrieve them when you come down. Everyone does this and no one is going to steal them. You can do the same with a shirt or a hat or sunglasses or whatever you want to leave.

You WILL want to rent a locker as you arrive to leave your valuables and lunch. The small lockers are 5 euros and the large ones are 7 (with 2 euros back when you return the key.) The small lockers are really small (a kids backpack might fit.) The large ones hold 2 to 3 full backpacks. We brought lunch and frozen water bottles and left them in the locker until lunch time. You can go in and out of the lockers as much as you want.

Prepare for a surprising (to me anyway) number of people smoking. It seemed like there were more people puffing away here than in the rest of Benidorm. Even in the crowded locker area, people were lighting up. Yuck!

The food: Many reviews mention the high prices. They actually aren't that bad. Many things were surprisingly cheap (1.5 liters of water for 1.5 euros; a pint of beer for 2.95; a liter of sangria for 4.95.) Soda is expensive and should be avoided. The food was in the 4 to 8 range, which isn't terrible. The quality seemed "just OK", so I suppose you get what you pay for. They will let you bring in food and drink so I strongly suggest bringing lunch and extra water (no glass.)

The chaise lounges: Yes they are 4 euros each. If you must sit on one, then you'll have to pay. HOWEVER, there are plenty of spots to bring a towel and sit in the shade on the grass. People do it all the time. There are also places to sit at tables, although once you move, someone will take your spot.

The rental tube: For 8 euros (get 2 back at return) you can rent one of the yellow tubes. You can use it to float around on the lazy river OR you can use it to cut the line at the "Rapidos" ride. The line without the tube for Rapidos can be 10 minutes, and it's a good ride. If you think you will ride Rapidos a few times and the line is long or if you must have one for the lazy river, then you may want to consider renting it. Otherwise it's really a rip-off.

The rides: This place has stuff for all age groups. There is a dedicated section for the smallest kids (toddlers and up.) There are jumps and a zipline for teens and older kids. There are death-defying slides and mellower slides and the lazy river. They have this huge Jacuzzi area that kids and adults seem to love (not my cup of tea.) You can easily ride stuff all day and never get sick of being there.

The lifeguards run things safely and efficiently. At some parks they make you wait until everyone has left the pool before they send more people down the slide. Here commonsense prevails and once it's safe, they let the next group go. This makes the lines move faster and never seemed to risk anyone's safety. The lifeguards are also on top of people doing unsafe things and never seemed bored or distracted.

The park is very well maintained and beautifully decorated. Lots of waterparks are just cement and slides. The landscaping here is very nice. They also have people walking around sweeping and cleaning leaves out of the pools. High marks for spending the money to make it seem like a place you'd want to spend the whole day.

All in all, this was a very good experience and it you like waterparks, you'll like this place.
