... history and culture of Sherry as well as Madrid. This is an old school place. They serve sherry and a few tapas, chalking your bill on the bar the way it used to be done, and still is in places like this. Bar staff treated us well, as did a friendly gent who was standing alone. I struck up a conversation with him in the best Spanish I have. Went just fine. Sherry isn't my favorite drink, but I had a couple anyway, enjoying the chat and the atmosphere. This is a place with regulars and if you're not a regular you may feel left out. But don't. Make the best of it.
