The hotel is situated in a great location, the metro is just 2 minute walk away and equal walking distance to the Palace and Retiro Park (approx. 20 minutes). Unfortunately the hotel is next to pubs and 2 minutes walk from the square with the metro and can get very loud with buskers and people drinking to approx. 6am. The double glazing doesn't omit all the noise

Nice and quite hotel just 3 minutes walking from puerta del sol. Room was good size with 2 single beds sticked together, desk, tv set, and radio, fridge with mini bar. Bathroom clean, bathtube a bit slippy, could get an anti slip layer or something.
Reception staff very helpfull, breakfast only cold (ham, cheese, jam, croissants, bread, cereals, hot and cold drinks). For us it was more than enough but if you expecting egg and bacon dont order breakfast. All together hotel deserve its stars.

We had stayed here several years ago and found the location ideal. Coming back with 2 small toddlers and the hotel itself was a disappointment.
1. The upkeep and cleanliness was not what it needed to be. Towels removed but not replenished, bathroom needing a good scrub, trash not always emptied.
2. Due to the type of occupancy we required, we were put on the first floor even after I expressed concern about noise....which turned out to be an issue every single night of our 5 night stay. Would also recommend avoiding room 111 as it is next to an office entrance which is frequently slammed shut throughout the day and night. We did not raise a complaint given the limited room alternatives available but will not be returning.

It's location is the selling point. Right next to great food and walking distance to everything you want to visit. So if you dont need to be in the room to sleep very often, this is the place to be.

My bf and I booked this hotel literally last minute, and we were not disappointed. Rooms are spacious and are cleaned well every day. Wifi woks well. Breakfast is included, but it's no big deal. Just bread, pastries, ham, salami, cheese, cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee. Its location is great, the only thing is that right across there's a restaurant/bar which is opened until late and it can become very noisy at the middle of the night.

Spacious room with everything you need when staying in Madrid.
Everything was very clean.
Lack of maintenance and finishing touch (handrail in the bath came nearly of the wall and you definitely needed it as the bath was very slippery.
Room could do with some plug sockets at the bedside and a few spare pillows.
Toilet didn't flush very well.

Staff at the reception desk was very friendly

Breakfast could've been better. Very basic, dry croissants, coffee was cold and the tostadas were rock hard as the servant probably tried to be helpful and put one after the other Baquette in the toaster. However there were only 6 guests having breakfast.

It was a bit noisy in the night, but you can expect that in a hotel right in the centre of Madrid
