We stayed in a 5 person bedroom, Very clean hotel, helpfull staff and great location. & minutes walking from metro if you need one, because the hotel is right in the center. Almost next door is a theatre that shows The Carmen Bizet ballet flamengo show.

Great deal recommended

We arrived at 2.00 am without any reservation (we had a trouble with the place we reserved and had to look for something just there and then). There were several hostals in same building and this was the one that happened to have a spare room. They told us right away, that it will be double beds, and of course at 2 at night we didn't wan't to be very choosy :D.

The room was very nice and big, clean bathroom, air-conditioning. The bathtub looked very old though, with broken enamel. But honestly, it didn't bother at all - the shower worked perfectly, and it was clean. TV and a small sofa, though the room's planning makes them useless - its impossible to lay on a bed and watch TV.

The housekeeping stuff is very nice - even if we left the room at 14, we would find our beds made and towels changed. I left them some cents on the bed first day, and when we came back, my coins were carefully folded on a bedside table.

The room had a very nice shutters, so it was dark in the room as it was night even in the afternoon - my boyfriend loved it, as he just cannot sleep with ANY light, and we were coming back home at 5 - 7 am. No any noise, only maybe from around 10am some moving out people. But no noise made it to the room from the street, which was very nice.

Very nice surprise was a free wifi!

There was no breakfast in the hotel, but we found a great deal from cafe Rodilla just on Puerta del Sol - 3 euro for coffee and hot sandwich + fresh orange juice for just 1 euro.

I booked this hostal after readinh the reviews on tripadvisor.
I stayed with some friend for 5 days. The rooms are simple and comfortable. This is obviasly not a five stars hotel but was clean, confortable and perfect for the price.
I would recommend this hostal for everyone is a short budget.

Negative points:

Do not have breackfast

Room Tip: Triple rooms are huge

My fiancee and I stayed there on a long weekend in Madrid and loved this place. The room was a good size (not just the bed + 1' on all sides), the bed was comfy, and the bathroom had a full-sized tub (extremely rare in lower-priced hotels). Very inexpensive as well.

Two minor downsides - the doors are super-thin and sounds carry down the hallway very well. Our room overlooked an interior courtyard and there's a restaurant on the ground level that was a little noisy until around midnight.

This hotel has a central location, with Sol Metro station just 10 minutes away. On the second floor of the building, it is a no frills hotel with a 24 hour reception, although we found that the English spoken by staff was variable, but despite this, staff made every effort to help us. Our room was clean, and while the walls not particularly thin, we found that Spanish guests noisy late at night, as they had teh habit of chatting in the corridor. This was no fault of hotel, but nevertheless made for interrupted sleep. I imagine that the rooms close to the reception area are even worse.
