On the Gran Via you will find everything, shops, stores, theaters, hotels, historic buildings, places to eat, from the most elegant to fast food! This is the center of it all!

... great view from the roof terrace (they charge you to go up there, even though you have a drink or two at the bar) ... I like the Art Decco tower .... a pity you can't climb up the stairs. The bar is overcrowded for sunset.
The house is beautiful, Picasso had an art school on the first floor. Also the ground floor restaurant is a spacious elegant room, the food is soso .... It's absolutely worth a visit, stroll around and let th ebuilding speak for itself!

It’s just full of shops, a bit of a time waster unless you want to shop. It’s not cultural and not much to do. There are far so many cultural places to hit.

Just a generic big city shopping street, nothing special about it and doesn't look particularly good. You'll probably see it while passing through but not really worth going to especially unless you are a big shopper. The shops in all western cities now are exactly the same chain stores anyway.
