Melia group is know for its excellent services.
These were kept up at Melia Princesa by th wonderful staff.

The Melia has a Wonderful breakfast and
Great service
Modern designed hotel with bright colors and newly appointed rooms
The staff at the front desk went out of their way to help us recover an iPad that was left in Italy

I booked a Grand Premuim Room at this hotel August 25-27 on the basis that this room offfered "The Level Service" which includes an "open bar service and tapas 11am - 11pm" and free access to "The Wellness Centre."
I arrived at the hotel to be told that The Level services are not available in August and that the Wellness Centre is closed at Weekends.
I have been through the whole booking process again and at no point does the Hotel website mention these crucial facts. The Level service is a major part of the promotion of these premium cost rooms. The hotel website is grossly misrepresenting the facilites available when you book this room.
Furthermore the voucher for Euro 20 pp pn to be used on room service or in the restaurant does not apply either.

Room Tip: Do not book rooms that include The Level Services

With regards to your comments, we would like to inform you that we have reviewed our web site “melia.com“ and at this point we have not found any lack of information about the special schedule of our services during July and August.

Regarding the 20€ voucher per night and per person offer ,applies in our Melia Madrid Princesa to breakfast buffet and wellness centre only.

We apologize if your recent stay in our hotel did not fully satisfied you, and we would dearly hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in a near future.

Would stay here again, nothing to complain about. Modern inside, staff helpful. Hotel was not busy, pool was free to use this month, wifi also free. Check before you book as think there is a cost during peak times.

Thank you for your time taken on making this feedback about your stay with us in August.

We really appreciate your comments of our staff and as you described, during this month, we had our Spa free for all our customers. Normal price during the rest of the year is 16€ per person and per day. Wifi is always free in all the hotel.

We are looking forward to receive you again at Meliá Madrid Princesa.

I booked two rooms on "The Level" to visit Madrid with a colleague. Due to an early inbound flight we arrived at 10.45am, but were nonetheless able to access our room after checking in at the dedicated Level reception. We were given 12th floor rooms with spectacular views over Madrid. The bathroom was of an exceptionally high standard and included a bathrobe and slippers. The room also included a kettle with tea and coffee – a feature much appreciated by British travellers – and a minibar (paying).

The public areas are comfortable and spacious. As in other upscale Melia hotels, the major benefit of The Level is the exclusive lounge, in which which drinks and snacks are offered free of charge at any time. The lounge was busy on the Saturday evening, but the staff unfailingly replenished the platters of canapés and drink stocks.

Level guests can also take breakfast in the lounge, although the range is rather more limited than in the hotel’s main breakfast room.

I would unhestiatingly recommend this hotel and believe that The Level represents good value for money.
