Went there couple of times and I just love the way they do the artichokes! The place is nice and modern, and I recommend you to make a reservation. Some tables are not well located and the upper level is always very, very noisy. If you can get a table outside, even better!
Regarding the prices, they are a bit spicy and a dinner can easily get around 50€/person.

My son told me to go there since the restaurant La Gabinoteca had a good review in the Guardian.
We arrived in noisy very busy restaurant.
Our table was at the first floor.
It took a little while before the very friendly and busy waiter showed up.
But after that ,our visit has been one big surprise!
Most delicious salads , small bites followed one after another.
Good wines.
God I just love this
And a very reasonable "cuenta"
Don't wait to go there!
We will certainly return.
Hasta pronto Gabinoteca.

We found this place by chance walking around the neighborhood and it seemed to hopping with locals so we walked in. They were filled but were able to squeeze us in at a communal table. It's a very hip, lively space with good ambience. We ordered a variety of dishes. Highlights included the egg in a jar which has a soft egg, potatoes and truffles and the razor clams (must get). We also ordered a chocolate mousse for dessert which is too much of a good thing. I'm a huge chocolate lover but it was more of a huge bowl of chocolate pudding which brownie chunks and it wasn't solid enough to be called a mousse. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot.

Good food and nice atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood in Madrid. Service was quick except when it was not (it was really hot and we were a couple of time waiting for our drinks). Dishes are tasty but also small: the meat one (solomillo) is very well presented, but it was too little for 17 euros.
