Dining options: After-hours, Dinner, Lunch, Reservations, Seating, Waitstaff
Neighbourhood: Malasana
Description: Cómo me lo Como is located in the heart of Madrid just off calle Gran Vía, very close to the theatres and cinemas. This informal and welcoming restaurant with its international-inspired menu is always full of enticing aromas and evocative sounds. Mid-week it is peaceful and romantic while at weekends it attracts a bustling and lively crowd. The kitchen at Cómo me lo Como takes its influences from various countries around the world although there are plenty of traditional Spanish dishes and the portions are generous. Specialities include dishes such as hake fishcakes or Indian-style chicken. The restaurant has an appealing selection of Spanish wines from the main Spanish regions (Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Somontano) as well as bottles from other emerging areas that are currently producing excellent wines. You'll find very reasonable prices at Cómo me lo Como as well as the freshest food.

“We almost passed this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2012

Thank goodness we didn't!!! We thought it was too expensive and a bit out of our range but it sure wasn't. The salads were delicious, the risotto was exceptional, the duck was unbelievably tender, and it was the best morcilla we have ever had. The young waiter was so attentive and his english was phenomenal. I can't wait to go back!!!

“Amazing ”

Best value for money I've had in a long time! €35 for 3 course with a final mohijito sorbet and 3 glasses of wine, beer or soft drink! The food was outstanding and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. I loved that it was off the tourist track and my only word of warning is to not have lunch!! Portions are generous to say the least!! I fell in love with this place!!!

“Excellent value and fantastic service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2011

We were warmly welcomed to this small restaurant in the trendy Malasana area, and given a great table in the window. The food was absolutely delicious. Our only criticism is that the portions (especially the starters) are huge - you may want to consider sharing starters to leave room for pudding! The menu is varied and very good value compared to other restaurants we ate in during the holiday.

The suckling pig was excellent, and the Argentine steaks beautifully cooked. Our waitress was delightful and spoke very good English. The other diners were Spanish, and it was nice to be in a resturant off the tourist trail. Highly recommended.

“fantastic restaurant for reasonable price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2011

I was in Madrid for two days and saw a couple of restaurants, cheap and expensive. This restaurant was in the middle of those pricewise, but had the best 3-course meal of the all. Inventive dining in an establishment with atmosphere. Check it out !
