We ate at La Salseta during our recent stay in Sitges. We chose it because we'd not eaten there before, the menu looked good and we liked the 'local' element of the food miles etc.
It was pretty disappointing and quite expensive for a not very good meal. We shared a starter of clams in the most awful looking sauce I've ever seen - not a treat for the eyes and not a huge portion for the price. I then had Monkfish - OK, but nothing special - and my partner had chicken in a pasta pancake which was absolutely awful - totally oversalted. Puddings were OK - a five ways with chocolate which was a bit like a deconstructed chocolate trifle and a nut sponge with coffee sauce which was served cold, but would have been much nicer hot.
Service was OK - nothing special.
We wouldn't return.
