Worth a 10 minutes or so stroll along the promenade (right hand side of the church if the sea is facing you).

Soft golden sand and hired 2 sun beds under canopy for the day for just £20 Euros. The sun beds had a covered mattress type on top of the normal mesh so really comfy and we could leave our towels to secure and come back if we wanted.

Next to lovely beach cafe and bought 2 coffees and 2 bags of crisps for £7 Euros.

Relaxed vibe and far less crowded. Would definitely recommend here for a peaceful day at the beach.
(And we had a £10 Euros foot massage would also recommend,)

Where the town beach can get packed and noisy in summer season Barra is much quieter and less used. Few facilities so take a good size beach towel and all your day needs. There are sevral good beach side restaurants just behind and great views of the fishrman chrurch up some steep steps at the south end.

It is a great spot to paddle or have a gentle swim. Also, a great beach for children to play on and make the inevitable sandcastles.

This is a urban beach with all the services, near bars, restaurants, showers... The sand is really very fine and that makes seawater a bit trouble, but it is perfectly clean. In front of this beach a big battle was held the 1st July 1642 and there is a fireship who sank only 80 m far from the shore.

The Sitges beaches are mostly narrow and crowded, this beach near Sausalito is a little wider and with less people. Ideal for families. Also you have the Terramar nearby to have good rises.

There are several beaches in Sitges and this is the one our family enjoyes the most. it's a walk down the boardwalk from the center of town, so less crowded than many of the others. It's clean and calm and it has bathroom and outdoor shower facilities. You can rent lounge chairs and a "toldo" sun shade and there's a good snack and sandwich bar that is just a few steps away. You look out over the pretty town of Sitges, the beautiful homes that line the boardwalk and the Mediterranean Sea. What's not to like?

Clean public beach, not too crowded during the week. A 30 minute drive from the center of Barcelona.

If you want to go to the beach, and you don't want to go outside Sitges, I recommend this part of the beach. It's not far, but it's less packed than in the city center by the church.

If possible, I really recommend going to some of the beaches outside Sitges. Many of them have little snack shops and parasol rentals, and the beaches are far less crowded.
